Has anyone seen Knights of the Zodiac? If you have, please answer me this: Why is the Knight of Piscies so weird??? I mean, every other knight has powers and looks that relate to theyr zodiac sign....what does roses have ro do with fish?

Nothing Really. There really is no connection other than my dad (an all organic rose lover) sprays dead fish smell on teh roses so the deer don't eat them...

It's no worse then Digimon Tamers, where was actually still decent, don't throw it away after the first episode, some series get better after you actually get into them.

rvx3452000, perhaps you should watch all of the series rather than making snap judgements based solely upon the first episode. For example, if you watch the first episode of Narutaru, you will probably think that the series will be happy and filled with light comedy; by the end, it is so far from being light and fluffy that you would question whether or not it is from the same series.

Im not sure why pisces is so weird i know what you mean by saying what do roses have to do with fish. I think that hes just a weird character sorta the way he acts maybe to flavor up the show a little? i dont know

Ah...that show...I've seen it a couple of times and there are a few things that puzzle me as well. Such as, why would there *ever* be a pink cloth? Eh? And...what zodiac is this show using? I'm only familiar with the Chinese Zodiac and the astrological zodiac. Perhaps, Japanese? Is there even a Japanese Zodiac? Or is it a mix of various zodiacs?

Wasn't there a japanese name to it before DIC (oh how I loathe them) totally ripped this anime (if you call it that) a new one? When I saw it, I never heard a cheesy dialouge such as that. Not even that good for kids.

This thread was made a while ago, it just had a few replies and no many actually tried answering the question.
My guess is that Piscies had "rose powers" because a fish based attack would be kinda lame, even if it had some destructive power, it maybe it was just to make "the battle of the tomboys" since Shun also looks as "weird" as Piscies.

Nothing in particular, just that I'm plotting to go to Ireland in late August. So better cut on the gaming expenses until after that, hence why Oblivion should do just nicely to keep me happy until then.
To answer some of the questions from 2 years ago, Knights of the Zodiac was originally called Saint Seiya. The Zodiac they use is based on the Greek Zodiac, which correspond to 12 months as opposed to 12 years. Only the Gold Saints are actually named after signs of the Zodiac, the other Saints constellations.

The roses that are part of Pisces Aphrodite's attacks relate to the mythology and the godess of his name. The rose was given its colour in mythology after she cut her finger on one and the blood dyed the flower. Aphrodite is important for the Pisces constellation as it refers to herself and a lover turning into fish (hence the two stars in the Pisces constellation) to flee.
