I think they named him that as an abreveation to Einstein.

Wow, this a pretty freaking old thread. But since it existed before I joined, I'll reply to it. I think my favourite/cutest animal is Black Hayate (when he's a puppy) from FMA. He's just got this clueless innocence to him. The best scene is where he takes a leak on the wall, only to have Hawkeye pepper the wall around him with bullets to make him obey her. I would have definately stood up to give him a home before Hawkeye could get the chance if I was there.

Of course, Ein is great, as well as the cat from Trigun.

I failed to see how Poo kicks ass, he's just this weird looking thing that's usually carried by one of the girls, and by the time he's actually able to kick some ass he's no longer cute since he evolves or grows into a mithological beast.
