Sorry if this is something better to have just PM'd about, but, what exactly happened to make them just cease, and are they likely to return?

Well, the best person to ask about that would probably be Two-Twenty, since he was the one who started it all.

That aside, I think the Student Review Contest simply lost steam in popularity. It had a nice, long run in the Lounge, but as time went on, fewer and fewer participants came around to give it a shot. That, and the fact that many of us probably got too busy to regularly participate, led to the eventual end of the regular contest. It was, however, revived briefly for the huge contest held just a few months ago (which was well attended).

As for a revival, it would be up to whether there would be enough interest to bring it back. I'd personally love to see it again, myself.

The fire should relight soon; we'd never know whether a potential reviewer may be in sight with the student review contest closed down.

I only did it once... and I moved on to ANN.au instead :XD:

I thought my review was pretty good, but when Shino appeared. Bam! Knew it was gone from my possession.

I'm just grateful I got to host one myself, though it was always fun to see how me and L-sama would do in the contests! :D

I think the most amusing part about that particular contest was how I became the only entrant.

Still, it was nice to see the contest have a revival after that with the prize packs, and I really should've gotten myself motivated to write a review around that time.

Also, I wouldn't mind some kind of Reunion idea, though it certainly does depend on who's interested and how everyone's schedules look I suppose.
