Here's a plug for my "home" con, Anime Detour (http://www.animedetour.com). Ordinarily I would consider it a bit early, as the guests haven't been officially announced yet, but we just passed the halfway point for the max capacity of 3000 people; it's possible that there won't be any at-the-door registrations.
Last year's edition was my first full con ever, and I had so much fun...

...I had so much fun, I was inspired to attend three more cons the rest of the year. So reserve your spot before the pre-registration deadline of February 28th ($40 before) if you feel so inclined. Who knows, maybe the snow would have melted by the start of the con...
