Since I can remember Asian culture has had some strange effect of me. Being a young Black male in the America of today and a huge fan of anime, puts me in an odd place lol. Actually I've managed to surround myself with others of like mind who share the same facisnation for anime as I do. So that place isn't so lonesome anymore. But as of recent I've found myself buying more and more asian films. Shinobi(heart underblade), Azumi, 7 samurai....etc. It's become an obsession. But a healthy one I might add. I don't do the cosplay thing or own plushies lol. But I find peace in the art and indepth story plots of anime films & tv episodes. The culture and history that's tied into each sceene. There almost better than watching real movies. Is there anyone else who see's the beauty in anime? If some welcome...

Ummm.... I'm confused. Was there a point you were making? Did you have a question, or an idea for discussion? Does ANY of this have to do with anime conventions?
