This is my second time watching the Rurouni Kenshin series and I got to the filler arc which comes right after the "Legend of Kyoto" and it's frustrating alright... I wish they would've animated the revenge arc ):
From what I read in Wikipedia, the creators of the anime began producing filler episodes because the anime catched up with the manga, and that they had the intentions to animate the Revenge Arc immediately after the filler arc... but unfortunately the ratings were too low and the show had been canceled... so there was no Revenge Arc as intended.
It really puts me down, I wish they would've animated that Arc, it said to be (I didn't read the manga) outstanding.
I don't count the scenes from this arc in Seisouhen because it was way too short, no details and way too rushed...
So what do you say? You think they would animate this Arc sometime?

Sorry to say, but Seisouhen IS the Revenge Arc in animated form. Last I checked, there won't be anything else from the Kenshin franchise anytime soon. So it's either read the manga to get the real story, or watch Seisouhen and get the condensed version.
Oh, and Wikipedia = inconsistent in factual information. It has its moments, but all in all, don't trust what it says 100% of the time (This is the ideal that has been drilled into my mind).

Yeah I know that Seisouhen is the Revenge Arc in the animated form, but you got to agree with me that it was way too rushed, I mean, it mainly focused about Kauro and Kenshin love story and the Revenge story was just the background or something.
And from what I've heard Seisouhen is not loyal to the manga's story at all (not only the ending)

Yeah, I agree with the fact that the story was rushed in Seisouhen. I would've liked to have seen more than just two OVA dedicated to it. However, I still personally liked Seisouhen. Though not the perfect ending, it was still a lot better than the TV series. Even though it didn't follow the manga verbaitem...
The fight between Kenshin and Enishi stayed close to the manga
Side note...have you watched Seisouhen?

Everyone's going to agree with you, but that's not going to change the fact that Kenshin is about a decade old and is pretty much dead.

Tell that to Evangelion fans. If there's anything they've proven, it's that the squeeky wheel gets the grease. :rolleyes2

Well, GAINAX is perpetually bankrupt. That's probably the bigger reason for the grease orders.

yeah, I watched it, and I liked it, but I still believe it could've been better of they'd slowed down a bit it was way too fast paced and confusing like hell, at least for me.
But I liked the strong emotions there and the fights were amazing (amazing animation) and unlike many others, I did like the ending, it was fitting, in my opinion at least, I know that most of Kenshin's fans preffer the manga's ending, but as I was saying before, I didn't read the manga.

Well then. If you really want to see the Revenge Arc as it should have been, why don't you try and get the manga? It's not like Rurouni Kenshin is one of those hard-to-find types.

Yeah I guess I would get the manga of this arc when I'll finish watching the series, yet I wish it was animated ): it could have been pretty exciting but I guess the manga is also good.
