I haven't seen much discussion about this rather...different...anime.
I've seen DVD 1 and 2, and am waiting on DVD 3 thanks to Netflix. I'm hooked.
Anyone else seen Koi Kaze?

Well... there certainly has been a discussion in several threads, the main one being this:

It is a depressing series, as I couldn't help trying to analyze how Koshiro and Nanoka ended up falling in their predicament, and I feel they share some geniune feelings for each other in the process. Their family unit is quite the common deal of separated parents, though I can honestly see Koshiro's turmoil over his own lovelife having effect on his newfound discovery, and that's knowing what kind of person his sister truly was. Of course, that's one way to interpret it.
The last volume will remain your greatest challenge, but it will show their true feelings to a fine point, and I think this anime will find ways to be understood outside its unusual subject.

Eep. Sorry. I used the search function and searched for Koi Kaze, but didn't see any thread for it.
Weird.
Sorry about that, I didn't mean to beat a dead horse. Oh, wait, there's an emoticon for that. :deadhorse
I'm at EP 10. I first, I didn't expect it too be interesting. The artworks and character designs are old, plain and dull. But then I started watching, and found it mildly funny.
My favourite part is the end of episode 4 when the guy met his ex-girlfriend and went to the restaurant. He remembered that he didn't have secks in three months since they broke up. He wanna suggest that they go home and do it, but couldn't say that. Then later, he went home and found his little sister's bra. And he put it into his face *sniff sniff* And later some masturabations. What a pathetic guy haha I'm glad I don't have any big brother.
I wonder how it will end now :)

You're take on it is interesting. When I watched this show as it was airing a year or two ago (I cant remember exactly when this happened), I thought that it was a somewhat tasteful show. I've seen much worse and more perverted brother and sister love shows, but this one seemed to accurately portray what the two siblings were going through when it leads up to its conclusion which:
Is somewhat disturbing that they end up having "secks" and deciding to be together and "to hell with what the world thinks". But that guy's got 2 birds hit with one stone, pedophilia and incest. Very different indeed.
Oh, and as a big brother, this anime left me feeling dirty and ashamed having watched it.

The whole series revolves around a loss of love between two very similar people who eventually find themselves in an unexpected relation. They connect better spiritually than most stereotypical couples do, and their tensions with this bond coincide with their everyday behaviors in proper doses. Especially since they've lived apart for most of their childhood.
Watching them speak to each other becomes a difficult task, to see them in constant discomfort with their close living a shame, and their conclusions are surely just as tragic. In some strange way, I almost wanted to cry for such people, it makes me wonder just how cruel the world can really be when we all come at our own unfortunate ends.
I also felt a sort of Shakespeare-like vibe with this concept.
And dare I promote the skills of director Takahiro Omori once more, he really handles the mood expertly. Nothing sticks out like most colorful series I've come to see, as it's rather somber and melancholy in feel. Plus the soundtrack just seems to blend with it all.
Ok. I finished it. And the ending is just wrong. Insect...

Yeah I agree, there was far too many ants and spiders at the end of this series. Insects are gross. ^^
It's not only insect... I believe she isn't 18 too... what a big brother...

Congratulations, you've completely missed the point of the series. Good job.
Eh? What's the point of this series? Is it "don't raise your children seperately"? :D
