Quite a good turn out I reckon. This should be an interesting contest.
Also,
IF YOU SEE THIS THREAD PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO VOTE IN IT!!1!
Apologies to entries 3 and 5. I had to shorten the title a little.

"Kagihime" would have sufficed.

Play-by-Play Analysis:
KOR: Kind of a short review. Lacking in both comprehensive analysis and pretty language. Your reviews are generally pretty good, but I think you tried to hard to be funny and failed to hit the mark, not because your jokes aren't funny, but because you didn't take them far enough. It just feels like this review has failed to commit and it seems hollow because of it.
Ninja Resurrection: This review has great structure. All the parts flow together and your transitions are spot on. There are just a lot of small issues with word choice and syntax that bring the review down a little. But other than that, this a cohesive, competent, analysis with great structure. This is a good review, it just isn't as good as it could have been.
Fatal Fury: Everyone should vote for this review because it is so damn good.
DBZ: Just know that we all love you in spite of your mental handicaps.
Kagihime: What can I say? A solid review that does a great job dissecting the anime and examining it's anatomy. You're extremely literate and knowledgeable when it comes to anime, though you sometimes come off as jaded. But this doesn't detract from your review. You also manage to be more entertaining than the average, boring, list of pros and cons and examinations of an anime's essential parts(plot, dialogue, character, visuals, and sound) that's often seen in these review contests: indeed that format is frustratingly popular amongst the anime community at large and indeed, many of the reviewers on this site. I would vote for you if you weren't my competition.
Ghost in the Shell: What happened? I'm not trying to be harsh, but you and shadow, who I think of as competent reviewers, just choked on this one. But while Shadow seems to have undershot his mark, your review exploded in in the chamber. This review is just crammed full of witty jabs and snappy editorials. Some of them seem contrived while others are just poorly constructed. Not only that but you seemed to have trimmed reviewing content to make room for a lot of these. That wouldn't have been a bad thing if they had worked but they don't, on any level. I can see a good review trying to make itself heard, but it's just completely drowned out by all the crap weighing this review down. Sorry. Everyone has misfires, and this was one of yours.

KoR: Realist, for a second there, I thought that someone had written a review for Kimagure Orange Road. Anyways, I’ll let others critique my work.
Ninja Resurrection: Overall, a good review. There are a few nicks here and there, and you could use a few more statements with oomph, but it’s still a solid review.
Fatal Fury: Ah, you got to love those overly dramatic pieces that absolutely shred its subject to bits. Long but worth reading.
Dragonball Z: It’s not a review but it’s still witty.
Kagihime: Once again, you’ve managed to write a solid piece while covering all the important aspects of the anime. Among the entries here, this seems to be the only review that does not feel like an impromptu piece. Good job, you get my vote.
Ghost in the Shell: A bit of me thinks this review came on a bit strongly. Unlike Realist’s work, this piece tries be a half review with the second half being a vocal denunciation. It would have been better if you took sides and abandoned the quasi formal review structure.

Ramune - It seemed like you were trying too hard to get the sarcastic humor in your review. I would've liked to have seen a little more on the actual anime and what it was about. A nice effort though.
Resurrection - That's mine, so I'm leaving that up to y'all
Fatal Fury - The first two paragraphs left me scratching my head as to what it had to do with the review. As I read on, I got the connection, but I still couldn't get over the near irrevevance of the beginning. A little too verbose, but well done on execution and delivery of humor.
Dragonball Z - What happened? Your Evangelion review was all right, but this? I'm sorry, but I have nothing good to say on this one, so I'm staying quiet.
Kagihime - You get my vote this time around. Your review flowed very smoothly from aspect to aspect while subtly adding some nice humor as well. There's nothing wrong with this one, be it grammatical or otherwise. Great job!
GITS - A little too heavy on the sarcasm in this one. It was also a little hard to follow, but still a good review overall.
Well, best of luck to everyone in this round. I'll see y'all next time! :)

I say mine is the best because clearly I stuck true to the theme by writing a SHITTY review about a SHITTY anime.

Of course. Clearly such a shity review expresses that such a shity anime doesn't deserve so much efforts and writings. Genius.

Fatal Fury - The first two paragraphs left me scratching my head as to what it had to do with the review.
I was just being anecdotal. Using anecdotes is a pretty common technique to add color to a review.

I see where you're coming from now, Realist. Thank you for clearing that up for me :)

Alright, bumping this because we have a three-way tie. And could the next vote not be for the Dragonball Z review. Riping into Dragonball Z is old hat, and just saying that it sucked dick wasn't even funny. It's a bit of an insult to the people who actually put effort into writing their review.
For this reason, next person who hosts this needs to introduce a minimum word count for the actual review. Something like 250 words.

I voted for Kagihime to break the tie. :D

Edit- Ahhhh! :O Someone voted for the Fatal Fury review and I didn't notice. The tie continues!

If there is a tie at the end, I'll just set up another thread with only the tied choices, and set the poll for three days. If it's still a tie after that, they Rochambeau for it.

Voted for the Fatal Fury review, partly because it was good, partly to break the tie.
