they have jpop and pop,
jpop=japanese pop
but why not,
apop=american pop
epop=eurepean pop
cpop=chinese pop
aupop= austriulian pop
or just about any thing else? why is it only jpop and pop

There's Kpop, for Korea, too.
And C-pop for China does exist as well.

For the lesser-known ones, there's Malay-pop (Malaysian language), Canto-pop (Cantonese), Indo-pop (Indonesian), etc.

Europop is the commonly accepted term for European pop music.
There's also rap varieties too, my favorites being c-rap and k-rap, for obvious reasons. :3

I guess "pop" is a more general term. The sub-groups are very different in both sound & style, as compared to "American pop".
