Ok is it only me that thinks the AA front page should get a new banner, the current one a little bit naff, she looks like shes stoned or something! We could have a compation to design a new or something.

I "have no opinion" but I don't "not care".

I like it, as I do almost anything Annie-may related, but I was never overly impressed with it. If someone decides to change it, I wouldn't mind so much as long as it's a set up from the current banner. But in regards to the main page, I think, first and foremost, the focus needs to be on getting more reviews done.

Though it's not bad, i wouldn't mind if someone made it more interesting, showing Annie angry or something. But, siding with Two-Twenty, the focus for the teachers should, first and foremost, be reviews

Of course the reviews should be the most important thing after all its the reviews that pull people in. But its about the presentation of the site, its the first thing the public see when they log on and i feel it looks a little naff. Maybe replace it with just the AA logo or something a bit classy or maybe even create an academy mascot.

Yes, it's kind of cool to have original artwork from the original comic on the front page, but 1) it's been there too long, and 2) I think we could do better. She does look a little slow.

The original comic was based off that one picture of Annie May, not the other way around.

As for the issue of changing the banner. This would require us to convince Mugs to make the change... and find an artist (probably Linuts).

A little history lesson for ya.

Kain drew the very first Annie May (the one on the banner), and Sanda colored it. I had nothing to do with Annie May's birth, only her fanart thread :p.

We need to go all out on this school theme. Get a school crest and throw up some pompous sounding latin words on the banner. No cartoon character and screens from random anime we need to be professional about this!

I voted change it, not cause I hate it... its just AA needs something fresh and new, it feels like its dying a little and perhaps a new banner will attract new people acutally willing to give some stimulating conversation about new topics and spice up the night a little ya know? =p

Dont really mind the banner that much. But I'd like it changed. Actually, we should change a few things on AA; it's beginning to get kinda stale. I remember when the site was getting some huge changes and how cool the collective buzz around the forums was. We need that again.

And for the record, AA is not dying or anything of the sort. Like everyone else, the staff have lives, but we are still committed to making this site the best anime review site on the interweb.

One way or another, all banners pass their primes. Let's let the professors work at it and when they think they have enough to show, lets have a poll. Of course, all this is going to happen and I'm simply stating the obvious. :D
