Okay..I've read the FAQ for quite a while now,and I've always wonder how this works.. 'Minor offenses like double-posting, reviving old threads, creating a duplicate topic and off-topic posting will not be punished unless repeated excessively.'
Okay..If we're not allowed to revive the thread,OR make a new one..How will we start something on the topic that we want to talk about..

Don't create a thread if there's one exactly like it that was made a week ago. Don't revive threads that are over 3 years old.

So..Like if there was a thread that was 1+ years ago..I'm allowed to remake another one? and if theres one just around 2-5 months ago..I can't remake it?
I kind of get it..but not really :l
Its basically to stop certain things. For example, we don't need 20 threads dedicated to Naruto. On the flip side, there is no sense in bumping a topic that is so old, that no one in the thread can respond to it because they haven't logged in for years.

Old vs New threads is kind of a constant debate, and we've been staying away from a set-in-stone system. I mean, if we had a rule on reviving no threads over a year old, we'd get people saying "but that thread was only 11 months and 30 days old....."
For the most part, it's set up so people use their best judgement.

Okay uhm..I have yet another question..
Are there really that many guests in AA or are those robots? O_o

Hmm... Does it surprise you that there are 8,022 registered members (and counting)? Even so, from what I see, not all members seem to be active anymore, so there are a handful of them that don't visit AA as frequently nowadays.
Plus, bear in mind that the members are from all over the world, so that could explain why there are a lot of members here... not to mention that the members here discuss fruitful topics too :graduate:

Eh..I dunno. It feels like anime academy is slowly dieing..
*knocks on wood so that what I said won't come true*
Not that many people are active anymore.
There's alot of guests though..So I was just wondering if they were actual real people or robots made to make anime academy look like there are many people visiting.
Yes, there are a lot of bots who visit AA as guests. However, they aren't used to "make AA look busy" or anything. We don't have control of them. If we do, we'd probably get rid of them because they're annoying and they take up bandwith.
The bots are from different search engines who crawl through pages and find information to link for in a search. We can verify this by their IP address while guesting.
However, we do, also, have quite a few guests who lurk AA and don't bother signing up, so it's not all searchbots.
