Anyone reading this manga? It caught my attention when it was adapted into a J-Drama and soon to be an anime.
I've been reading a little bit about the US release from a site that shall not be named and people are saying that Del Ray isn't doing a great job on the translation. Any opinions on this issue?

Oh really?
Actually, I've really enjoyed this manga series so far. It's just a fun series, with quirky characters. Nodame is a great and hilarious character; she's just so off-the-wall. I've read the first five volumes of the manga and seen the first episode of the J-drama. I haven't had any problem with the translation.

Hmm, the people who were "importing" it were saying that the translations aren't up to par. Meh, I probably won't care.

Yeah, you won't notice anything. The translation is good and easy to follow, which is more than I can say about some other manga series' translations. Del Rey consistently puts out high quality manga.
Nodame is one of those manga that I've always seen in the stores but was always too poor enough to pick up. It seemed like a lot of fun, although now if it's going to be animated, I may as well just wait for that...

I've seen the Japanese version, and Del Ray's translation and have no objections, Nodame Cantabile is one of the best manga around, i highly recommend it.
