I've read volumes 1-10 of Negima... I just prefer to endure the ecchi parts, perhaps the only part which I found to be quite distasteful... The rest of it was pretty nice and entertaining... I particularly enjoyed the magical battles that occurred...

My favorite characters there are Evangeline A. K. McDowell, Chachamaru Karakuri, Hakase Satomi, Chao Lingshen, and Fate Averruncus... Evangeline was the best though the extremely cute, powerful, and evil vampire/wizard... Let's not for get Chachamaru, Eva's cool and loyal robotic partner... Hakase and Chao are the evil geniuses of the bunch... I wonder what they're planning... Finally, Fate Averruncus is just... cool...

I wish Akamatsu'd go a little more into character development. That was the whole point of a certain past project of his, and what lent it its charm. MS (No, not Mobile Suit, though it'd make it a lot more fun) Negima seems like fuzz and cuteness, shot through with his usual degree of fanservice.

I dunno, I like a little romance with my romance manga.

What can I say, I'm terribly conservative. :P

I can agree with this. After all, it was the characters that brought that other project up from dime-a-dozen shounen romance fanservice-fest to a benchmark of the genre. You'd think he'd know enough to stick with successful ideas, especially when newer ones don't work out as well. Hell, if he wants to be innovative, sure, but at least have something that you know will work ready as a "Plan B".

I love the manga I'm already up to date on it (11). I love role-playing as Negi and I laughed so hard whenever he gets into a "situation" that might label him as a pervert! I also have all 4 volumes of the anime so far.

Negima is awesome. I love it. It's great, because it gives me the mental relaxation that is needed after a rough school day. It's a lot of humor, and some great magical battles. I have a very low moral boundaries list, and I'm very accepting. The idea of a bunch of teenage girls falling for a preteen boy really doesn't bother me. They are only like 2 or 3 years apart, I think. Most people just have a problem with it because of the age group they represent.

I am jealous of Negi. Having 31 girls falling for him. I WISH I WAS HIM!

Maybe you should try communicating with an actual member of the female species, much less hoping for 31 of them to magically fall for you. Just a thought.

Works in the commercials. Just apply a regular dose another 30 times.

Nah, even hitting himself with Axe won't help Mr. Otaku. Hitting himself with an axe, on the other hand, may make for significant improvement.
