So, how do you feel about some indie/underground musicians?

I, personally, have been interested in Regina Spektor lately. Her stuff is getting more spotlight nowadays, but I find her charm and lyrics still true-to-life. The Ditty Bops are entertaining and I really wanted to see a show of theirs. As for others, The Sounds continue to impress.

I am so totally in love with The Sounds. Their last album, Dying to Say This to You, is so much better than their first one was. Tony the Beat and Song With A Mission are probably my favorite tracks off it. And I mean, who can hate an album that has a braless chick wearing a see through shirt on the cover? :D (http://img456.imageshack.us/img456/8427/b000e6gc6q01sclzzzzzzzii8.jpg)

Sorry, other than The Sounds I haven't heard of any of the other artists you mentioned. :(

Bloc Party makes some pretty damn awesome music, as does Matthew Good. Beyond them, I don't know of too many other "indie" groups.

I'm an unabashed indie kid (not to be confused with the emo kid, a similar but more odious creature). A quick list of what my playlist contains:

Regina Spektor
The Dears
Frou Frou
Patrick Wolf
Raveonettes
Rilo Kiley (not technically indie anymore, but they haven't put out anything new under Warner Brothers, plus I much prefer their pre-More Adventurous stuff)
The Postal Service
The Shins (easily one of my favorite bands ever)

Well it just so happens that The Arcade Fire and TV on the Radio are some of my favorite bands as of now.

Not to mention, I just attened The Decemberists show in Pontiac yesterday.

So I dig all sorts of Indie. But some of my top bands of all time are indie's pioneers, namely The Smiths, Pixies, and The Velvet Underground.

I forgot to mention two other groups I like:

Morningwood- I really love them, especially live. Chantel has amazing charisma, it's orgasmic. I also got into Asobi Seksu a good while back. Their chilled sound was relaxing, so it totally stuck.
