Well soon on wednesday my Cat, Nala, will go in for Surgery for a Tumor on her right side. My sister foudn the lump on her on Friday, it just came out of nowhere because I never noticed it at all. Luckily the Tumor isn't stuck on anything so removing it should be easy and she might not die, but it's a Cancerous Tumor (Dam things hard as a rock) Here's my cat http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v705/RHF/Nala.jpg The circle spot is the Tumor, I would love it if you most of you can keep her in your prayers. I've had her for atleast 13 years and she our most playful cat so yeah.

I'm very sorry to hear that RHF; I'll keep her in my thoughts and prayers. I know the feeling of having a beloved pet who was going through hard times.

13 years, and still playful? Wow.
You're lucky you found out about your pet's condition. I had a dog once, and he was the only dog I ever loved (I'm a cat person). One day, I came home and he was dead. It turns out he had hepatitis, which we didn't notice because he was black. If he was of lighter color, we would've notice his fur and skin getting yellow. I miss him so much T_T Now I have a cat that looks like him, and I promised myself I'd take care of him a thousand times more.
I'll pray for your kitty.
About 5 years ago, my Scottish Terrier, Winnie, had to be put down because of cancerous tumors. She had gotten a whole bunch of them; some of them could be removed, some couldn't. They put her on pain meds and stuff, but... well, you could tell she still wasn't quite right. especially once I had to start carrying her upstairs because her joints hurt too much to make the climb herself, despite the fact that she used to jump up the stairs in about 5 steps, a feat considering the small dog she was.
In any event, I suppose that's probably not the most reassuring of posts, but, hey, at least you only found one tumor, right? And definately be sure to keep feeling her in case more spring up, too; it's definately better to catch them early.

That's tough, hopefully the tumor can be taken care of with little problems.
Nala shall be in my prayers, and I'm sure she will be under great care from the medical professionals in your area.
Good luck.

Thanks every one, after nine I have to keep her in my room, because it seems she can't eat after 9:00 (P.M. I think), I really hope she doesn't die, loosing my first dog was hard enough. Cruel fate. EDIT: And Kyubi, yep she's the most playful of our three cats, at night she sleeps with me and demands pets, when I think I'm done and turn the other side she jumps over me and meow for more pets, she keeps it up for about half an hour.

I remember far too clearly when I was 12 years old and killed my pet cockatiel (that I had raised when it was just a few months old, it was about three years old at the time) by accidentally slamming the door on it. It still affects me when I think about it.
Your cat sounds pretty http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v218/Ph4t3/Emot/emot-coal.gif from what you've said. Again, I hope she pulls through.

I think she'll live...I mean her chances of it are high seeing as it appears easily removable. And with the right treatment she should do fine. Feel proud that someone noticed it this early on, I'm willing to bet if your sister didn't notice it her chances of survival would be slim. With that luck on your side how could you think about losing her? And still playful after 13 years? She's mostly likely pretty darn healthy and a fighter, ^^ Have a little faith in her and calm down about it. Getting yourself sick over something that may not happen is no way to live.
So Panic.

That is definatly not something fun to go through but from the looks of it things will be just fine.
Expect the Worst
Hope for the Best.
I had a cat live to be 19 years old without any complications with health (until she died at least) and since you said yourself that your cat is pretty playful I'm sure she'll be fine. Although to be safe, I'll keep her in my thoughts and next time I go to a religous gathering of some sort I'll be sure to pass on the message to the lord.

Yeah, my cat does that too, only it's like all night. Seriously, it gets annoying.
I hope your kitty will be okay! I'm not really religious, but if I were, I'd pray for it. Tell you what: I'll wish for it instead of pray. I'll wish like I've never wished before!

My cat meows like crazy when I close the bedroom door at night... but when I let him in, all he does is run all over the place >_< But otherwise, he's pretty smart and sweet.
by accidentally slamming the door on it.
One time I was trying to close the door, and it wouldn't budge. It turns out my cat was there; I only realized it when I looked down coz his brother was meowing like "Hey! You're hurting my bro!" . But he wasn't hurt bad.

For years I lived in a house with about eight cats at once (not my choice), so I kind of have a soft spot for them. Good luck, and Gaia bless.

Thanks everyone
Well good news to give out, Early after school, the vet called my house and I found out that the Tumor was removed successfully, but they found some bits of it in the Muscle vein so it was remvoed but Nala temporarily lost some muscle to move her right leg, so she's resting at the vet right now so she doesn't put any strain to that leg. Me and my mom will go get her at 9:00 in the morning, and the Tumor will be send somewhere esle to see if it's the only one or if it has spread.

Will do
Well I have a pictire of Nala after the surgery, BUT it's not pretty, you may get a little sick from seeing it, Veiw at your own risk (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v705/RHF/Nala2.jpg) She's doing fine she just needs to rest.
So Panic.

Oh, poor baby... :(
I'm glad her surgery went well. Hopefully she'll be getting plenty of rest to heal up that leg. She's obviously very loved by her family so have faith, your cat will be just fine. :)

Meh, that's nothing at all compared to what my late dog's... uh, private parts looked like after he was castrated. He wouldn't stop running around so the wound almost got infected and, well, you get the idea. Anyway, maybe you should keep your cat sedated so she won't pick at the stitches, and watch her when she's cleaning herself. By the way, cat saliva is better at healing cat wounds than any man-made medicine, so just let her lick it.

Pets with tumors, I know all about that. My dog had a few of them. We never took it to the vet because of them though. We're kind of poor. So my dog remained tumorish for probably around 8 years or so until she died of...well..tumor related things. Good luck with the cat though. Things'll work out alright for you.

Aww, poor baby. I hope she feels better soon.
RHF, as long as the surgery went well, I'm sure she'll be back to herself in no time. One of my cats lived to be 19 years old, and she went through some pretty scary stuff too. Once when she was 13 or 14 I was terrified we were going to lose her because she just curled up in a corner and was so sick she wouldn't move to eat or anything. However, with lots of love and attentive care she recovered and was back to her playful energetic self.
Kisses to your sweet kitty from me, and here's hoping the biopsy turns up benign.

Well thankfully she back to her normal self, when we brought her home last Thursday she just wanted to rest and stuff but now after Thursday she back to here old playfull self, and we should get the result of that tumor (Which was said to have been white, coincidence, White fur, White Tumor?) in atleast 3 or 4 more days. So thanks I'll give here that kiss.

Yeah it was great while it lasted, but, another one has shown up and well, my family doesn't want to constantly put her through surgery, and my grandparents don't want to put her down when they come to my house. So we're going to have to put her down by the end of May. Yeah I needed to tell eveyone. Even if it meant reviving the thread. It's going to be really quite at night. :whine: :whine: :whine:
