Okay a couple of weeks ago I got a couple of Dragonball Z book's and they have a number on them, On my number one It has a Picture of Goku on a bike and it says Number one but On his Jaket it has 17 BIRD STUDIOS and on the side and on the bottom it says 17 out of 42. So I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what this is???

I think that the 17 is counting the original Dragonball. As in it's volume 1 of Z, but 17 of the entire saga.

Either that or it's one of 42 different cover arts, but that is doubtful.

Haven't really seen any Dragonball manga in a while, but that sounds right.

That is right. In Japan there was no real seperation of the Dragonball and Dragonball Z manga. Volume 17 of Dragonball is technically the first volume of Dragon Ball Z.
