Took me a while, but eventually I was able to get all 50. Pretty fun game if you're bored and have some time to ponder it over.

Let me guess. It's one of those "stare into the painting" things, where some freaky image pops up and scares you when you have your eyes fixed on it?

27 guesses so far.
Edit: Stuck at 43. And I can't believe the Exorcist is not in there. Or at least they portray it wrong if they do have it.

No it's real, it's actually by M&M to promote their new dark chocolate M&M's. Plus I hate those things, I always thinking I'm doing good on some game or something then some face screams at me and I get really ticked off.

I got as far as 25.
Kind of sucks, because I very rarely watch horror movies, so I've got no clue about most of those.

Don't feel bad. I only got 13. I'm such a horror fan noob...let's see...I know of Friday the 13th...The Shining...The Grudge...and...Friday the 13th (part 2).

Ok I got them all... That was definitely worth staying up until 6:30 in ventrillo with 5 people trying to figure it out...

I don't know about horror movies, but the cockroach definately reminds me of Joe's Apartment. Hey, cockroaches surfing the sewers is kind of scary to me!

Woo! Got them all (with some help from a family member). That was tricky.
I don't know how that one guy got them all in a minute flat.

I got like...5 of them.
Pretty sad, considering that my family owns close to 500 movies, the bulk of which being gore and horror flicks.

Same here. I got 28, and was kind of surprised by how quickly some of the vague visual guesses came to me.

That's an awesome puzzle, even though some of 'em aren't really horror movies.
It's killing me that I can't figure out the last 9 movies! >:(
7 in 9 minutes drunk. Don't watch many horror movies too. blah I want my 9 minutes back!

32 out of 50. That knife clue was obscure, but how could I have missed it was a blade? Some of those visual clues including the people with zeroes is pretty tough to figure out. Now where is the Silent Hill clue?

I guessed 16. I am not a big fan of horror films so I am surprised that I guessed as many as I did.

Finally got all of them, although I have to admit that the last one I would not consider horror at all. At best it is a film-noir / thriller. And no Exorcist in this one! That was surprising.

That is fun. After 8 minutes, I only managed to find 14. Gonna try some more later.
And they never specifically said "horror" movies, they said "dark" movies. There's a difference.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre was the first one I got. So obvious.
EDIT: After putting an hour into it, I still need five more. One of them I can't even find, let alone figure out.

Actually, a good chunk of the horror movies in question are quite LOW budget. They mix high profile, with recent remakes, with some really notorious classics of the genre.

All I have left (and it's been that way all afternoon) is the damn staircase. I have no freaking clue.
EDIT: Got it. Cripes.

I got like 30 something. The candle and the grim reaper and the house I couldn't figure out. Interesting game. I wish they would tell you the answer once you lose.

House of Wax, Dead Zone, and if you are talking about the house with the guy looking out the window, it would be "the rear window"

That's a Hitchcock film, right?

And probably only second to Psycho in terms of the quality.
That is one of my favorite films.

You know, I was wishing the same thing when I was trying to figure out that last one, but I changed my mind when I figured it out. Sense of accomplishment and all that.
Regardless, because I have time to kill, I have prepared an answer key. Look if you dare ruin the fun.
