A nice little claim by claim debunking.
It's from Rolling Stone. That should say something.

People are still bringing this up? I think we should focus less on then and more on the coming years.

The election is over now, and nothing can be done unless somehow George W. Bush get impeached or something like that. I wouldn't be suprised if the guy actually stole away the election <.<
But like I said earlier, the election is over now, and all America can do is wait for a new president in two years.
While chasing the '04 and even the '00 elections as if one expects to overturn them is a lost cause, I do believe that solving some of the fundamental problems/errors that occurred in both intances (and remain mostly unaddressed/unsolved) should be a priority simply for the sake of future elections. Electronic voting, the lack of a paper trail in many counties/municipalities/states, minorities being shafted out of their vote and other such issues are cause for concern if the most basic form of a democratic sytem is to function properly. Putting aside the anger of this jackass going back into office is one thing, but ignoring solvable flaws as if those were "over now" is another.

I am so sick of hearing about George W. Bush "stealing" the elections. I had a professor a couple of years ago who wouldn't shut up about it. Half the time class was just him going off on a rant over it. I don't particularly like him as a person or as a president, but freaking suck it up, accept a temporary defeat and move on with your lives, people. Jesus.
This post is directed at people in general, and not at anyone in particular, regardless of who may have posted in this thread.

I despise anyone who thinks there should only ever be a Democrat president. If you think that's the way to go, you are the very incarnation of stupidity.

No one ever said that. In fact, given the current crop of Presidential Candidates I think a lot of people would rather not have a Democratic or Republican President.
But seriously, where the **** did that statement come from?

Okay, let me clear some of this up. My point is not to berate the Bush administration nor is it to whine and bitch about the elections. I suppose the title is misleading in that regard. What I meant was for there to be discussion about (possible) corrupt voting administraton and abuse of power.
I really wouldn't have voted for Kerry or Bush in the last election. I would have written in "Tom Cruise" if I a) had the chance and b) was 18 at the time.
