Do you guys particpate in any training or warmups for preping up in this most gracious forum? I mean, we all need to get those creative juices flowing! Y'know, stuff that helps you respond to all the threads that always pop up for us all to cherish and give meaning (only briefly) to most of our daily lives?

I listen to a few anime songs, look over anime I have yet to watch, and donkey punch bears in my backyard. Once in a while, I'll concentrate and write about some of my day's activities in a memo, and reflect about life up till that point in time. Then make annoying threads like this to see what "forum warmups" you guys are up to! Do any of you guys kick a sand bag, meditate, or write haikus? Let me know!

Not really...most of the time I'm doing something else on computer while browsing forum, like playing games or chatting or surfing or typing stuff on words. I used to do those mental exercises (self hypnosis, meditation, daily morning jogs) in high school to get me good marks. I don't do that no more although they're terribly effective, I wonder why, since I need that lot more these days. But no, I don't do those exercises before firing up in the forum...in contrary, I think I'm writing on forum when I feel really incoherent and tired...like now.

I don't think stating your opinion on a forum really requires a warm up. This isn't like making practice essays that I have to make before I make my "good copy" of an essay to hand in to the teacher. It's just a place to post my ideas and opinions in about the subjects that I'm interested in. It doesn't matter if all my posts are Grade A writing material. As long as they are understandable, and get my point across. So I just post my thoughts down as soon as I think of them. Taking too much time to prepare would make the whole process tedious.

Maybe the question should be changed to something like 'do you ever do any mental exercises to improve your particular or overall mental performances and if so what kind of exercises'?

I usually listen to old Gundam music for an hour, and then read through movie quotes for another hour. This helps me get ready to scream nonsense. Sometimes I exercise my Ctrl-Bing as well, got to get your bolds down. I'm a pro. >_>

It's no big deal if some of you don't do any, I was just curious if some people here loved to go through some "pre-forum rituals" of any kind. I made this thread with a wink and a grin, so if you don't, that's cool. It is interesting to know different ways to make your mind more efficient Compl3x, but I've never stressed myself out over these forums as of yet. I also do it for fun primarily, but I do love to seriously debate in the same token.

And Dirty Harry seems to work under the regimen of a professional, I am not worthy to such commitment!

I must focus!

Normally AA is the first thing I'll do in the morning, so I just... wake up? And then I'll come back and check periodically throughout the day.

If I had any sort of ritual, I suppose it would be signing out of Roark's name and logging into mine... I've posted under Roark's name before ._.; But then, he has under mine, too.

Wow, would I hear any "Roark-quality" messages under your name Mana? Or do I get to speak with the Mana who doesn't think I'm completely stupid?

lol, j/k! I don't know Roark that well...but I'm sure he's cool!

That's the way to go, sleep makes for a great refresher, and signing in or out is as good as anything for making sure you're still on planet Earth (assuming you've gotten just enough sleep that is). More power to ya!

All I do is act out the part that I'm thinking of writing and write it down.

Nah, whenever one of us posts as the other, we'll just use super mod powers to delete the post and then post again under our own names.

Whoa, super mod powers! Those sound like a force to be reckoned with, guess that makes any mistake reversible, Mana's got the touch! I could even be deleted like I never existed....or did I!? *click!*

Better make sure I keep talking about Urusei Yatsura or something, right? I am not worthy! lol!

Mr. Otaku, do you have any costumes you act in by any chance? Just curious if you type with a ninja outfit or anything of the sort.

What do I do to wake up? Well, after I punch the alarm next to my head, my stereo goes off. So I punch that until it shuts up. Then I go bak to sleep for any length of time between 5 minutes and 6 hours. When I finally do get up, I'm usually pissed off for about an hour or so because I had to leave my favorite place in the world. Also, because I'm still inevitably tired from whatever I was doing the night before.

I usually don't remember. During that hour I'm usually at work or in my house. If I'm at work, I shuffle around slowly and try my damnedest to sleep more. It makes the time go by so much faster. If I'm at home, I usually shovel in a bowl of cereal and go take a huge shit.

After that I'm ready for the day, sans clothes.

Physical exercise is a must, and punching something gets the ol' adrenaline flowing! Just don't punch any holes in the walls, espcially in a dorm/apartment environment!

But it seems like sleep if the always never failing solution, along with relieving yourself after a nice breakfast! But sleeping too much can suck, I'll agree there, it's like waking up in a completely different world sometimes...

I masturbate profusely eveytime before I post. It really gets the juices flowing!

lol! Nothing like workin' for the grapefruit by climbing the tree to get them!

It also makes great stress relief! Better than Advil or Tylenol!

I usually check AA when I'm still in the process of waking up and sometimes make bad posts or nonsense posts; maybe even ban someone because they were annoying, but I don't really care enough because it's so early in the morning.

All in a day's work, just make sure I get a chance to say some parting words before I'm banned to death.

I'm guilty of making some bad posts once in a while myself, though I try to think about what I'm typing most of the time, all comes down to how much time I have (which can be a bit).

I +1 my post count in pointless threads like this one.
