Actually, this topic isn't about Nausicaa itself. It's about an different anime that I think I recall. Remember one flashback sequence in Nausicaa drawn in yellow in which she remembers attempting to hide an ohmu larva from the villagers, who rode in a pack, led by her father, to remove the ohmu? I think this anime had a scene that is an almost exact duplicate of the scene, and I'm certain it's not Nausicaa. Am I just hallucinating, or is there actually such an anime/more than one such anime? If the latter, please name some possible ones?

Well, you could be remembering Warriors of the Wind, the edit-butchered first US release of Nausicaa. I wouldn't be surprised if you thought it was an entirely different anime, because it basically was - script rewrites, whole sections removed, etc.

In Panzer Dragoon Zwei for Sega Saturn (yeah, it's a video game reference), a man hides a dragon pup as the other villagers are out killing more dragon pups nearby. It's quite sad...but that's the closest reference I can come up with for a replication of that sequence.
But then, you were asking for an anime one, weren't you?

I've seen the whole "take the baby from the herd (or parents), and the herd gets angry, and then the person who took the baby, has to return it to set things right" so many times. The weird thing is, I can't recall the exact shows (anime or non anime) that I've seen this in. But I think it was a recurring theme when I was watching Saturday morning cartoons as a kid. Ah, and Chicken Little comes to mind as an example of this, even though it's not anime.

ummm you could be thinking warriors of the wind...but I doubt it....you dont really want to have seen that....Ummm for some reason I do recollect another scene like that I think the kid was hiding a teddy bear or something becuz the elders were trying to take it away - because the child was supposed to be "growing up"
I dunno sorry i wasnt much help here...probably just generated another question
