Anime character for president

Now here's one for the books, and with our next election's campaigns gearing up for some more political promos, why not promote your own anime candidate while you're at it! Here's my picks, with other positions added (I only require president and vice president, I just did the rest for fun), and explanations optional as always...

Yukino Miyazawa (President): She wanted to be somebody everybody appreciated, now she can be the president our country's been hoping to have for so long, how can you go wrong with that people!?

Souichriou Arima (Vice President): First off, I don't think Yukino would let Arima be president, and I'm sure he'll keep her in check in case her ego soars.

Chiyo Mihama (House Representative): I'm sure any position would work for her, but people just can't say no to Chiyo, not possible.

Ayumu "Osaka" Kasuga (Foreign Representation): Somebody needs to spread "The Grains of Truth" across the world, who better than Osaka?

Gendo Ikari (Attorney General): If anyone looks like they could handle a full scale attack like it's no big deal, it's this guy.

Who do you guys have in store? I hope to hear some of your opinions (and I almost guarantee a lot of the presidents will definitely be younger than what our country would allow, but it's all in good fun!).

A few years and some careful consideration later, I still think Griffiths should be president. So there, you bastards.

Failing that, Char Aznable. He'd just drop a bloody meteor on you if you disagreed with him.

I made sure to mention this thread existed somewhere else before, Kararakim was it's originator, but such is the case when new people come to forums (I'll probably make threads that've been made hundreds of times over).

Well it looks like there's fans of Chiyo and Osaka other than myself which is cool, and Excel as toilet cleaner is the way to go, as I don't think anyone could understand one of her speeches. Having ACROSS run our nation would be pretty funny...

Jet Black's even recieved some love as of late (he is smooth, that's for sure), and Griffith would make a scary president only because of the Berserk ending, but he does possess leadership qualities nonetheless. Char makes a nice choice, he'd do what's best, if you didn't have a complaint...

Then there's Kenshin and a host of other series I have yet to see, but the variety of choices is nice nonetheless. Keep it up, or if you guys don't want to see this thread exist once more, I'm not going to take that personally (since it's nasty deja vu for most of you).

A good Presidante (president) would be... uhhh... I'd say our verry own Anni May for president. After all she is a good role model.

For Vice Pres... hmm... how about Edward Elric from FMA. Call him short and you either get exiled or hurt by alchemy.

I'd say for a good Secretary of Defence: the Major from GIS:SAC.

In that case, I'll protect all I can...even if it's just a few...I'll protect what's important...
In turn, the people below me will protect those below them. For a small human, at least that should be possible.

I also still think Himura Kenshin would make a great president.

Integra could work too, she would be pretty bold I'd imagine, but Roy sounds like a nice choice too. I'll probably stick with my choices, but I've always thought about Kintaro Oe from Golden Boy, or switching Gendo Ikari to president because of how well he organizes situations. Nice to see the variety in your choices.

I also agree with Roy Mustang. He's always trying to make his way up the ranks, and I think he'd make a good presidents. Although he'd probably make a law which requires all girls to wear miniskirts...which isn't a problem at all. Except when it's cold I guess.

Other than that, I'd also vote for Onizuka from GTO, or Takamura from Hajime No Ippo, just because of their high charisma. They probably wouldnt do good at their job, but at least they could present their ideas with no fear of rejection.

Shin Chan would be crazy though.

Roy Mustang for presidency? I think not, and I'll say I'm one of those few who wouldn't vote for him. Why? Probably because his caustic remarks and biting comments can rub the whole nation the wrong way. He'll possibly fan the flames of hatred in his own country... figuratively AND literally =P. I'll only support his idea of girls wearing skimpy mini-skirts.

Who shall I vote for President? I'm quite surprised no one has mentioned Chief Aramaki from GITS. A wise sage, always calm and collected, and he always knows what to do in times of trouble. Other possible candidates:

+ Chiyo-chan (Azumanga Daioh) - Good to vote for someone nobody can hate ;)
+ Johan Liebert (MONSTER) - So much charisma for a 20-year old; just ignore the insane portion and he'll make an outstanding individual. Touted to be the next Hitler and that alone speaks itself of his charisma :O
+ Alex Row (Last EXILE) - A little like Aramaki, only alot younger and quieter. He can take post of Secretary of Defense.

jetfire: Eye for an eye, opinion for an opinion, buddy. But I think we gotta admit that despite Johan's insanity, he has the charisma some leaders can only dream of. Plus, I just think Maes Hughes makes a better president than Roy because he's more compassionate. After all, he's the one that helped Roy rise through the ranks.

Somehow, I knew there would be a MONSTER recommendation when I saw your name in this thread, although I thought that you might have said Tenma for some reason. But Johan's crazy personality is a big part of him that defines him, so no matter how hard he represses those feelings, he's going to kill us all someday. Besides, even if he wasn't pure evil, I'm sure that he would still use that influence and charisma to constantly stay elected. He'd probably be able to rig the votes every time.

And I don't think Mustang would really burn down his own country. Sure, he gave Ed a run for his money, but he's not as insane as Johan.

i'd say fuyutski sensei from EVA for president. he can handle all situations just as well as gendo, just without the ruthless crazy ass part and he looks smart and has a really calming effect, it doesnt really matter though their all pupets in the end...

Osaka would make a great Ambassador, that's for sure, glad to see some people agree with me on that! I third it!

Fuyutski wouldn't be bad, but I do agree it wouldn't matter, I only said Gendo because he was pretty much a leader by default. Plus he also doesn't freak out, though his methods are intense.

Some people don't want Roy? Interesting, even though there is the miniskirt deal, I'd still stick with my current opinions (Yukino and Arima) for prez and vice prez. Definitely some debates over Monster in here, that's for sure.

Though I also agree that Chiyo is hard to hate, no matter how many ways you cut it...and I do love Jigen for security (he backed up Lupin many times).

As for the rest of your opinions, I have yet to see Utena (though I can understand the nomination), or Ouran High School Host Club (though that person sounded rich, which is usually a plus in this situation).

Ami Mizuno for president; she'd be a good one. And of course that means we get Mako as first wife :3 Haruko of FLCL fame for Vice President, because, well, between her and Ami, they should be able to handle anything.
