Hey everyone, I am new, and very young indeed. Er... well, I'm 14. But don't use that fact against me...

I had discovered an anime description quite a while ago, on one o' them informative anime sites. I don't remember much, except that it was a romance, and sort of like Serial Experiments Lain. I cannot for the life of me remember anything else, or the title. I would be very thankful if you could help me.

While I'm on the subject anyway... I have recently found out about Serial Experiments Lain, and, being interested in introspective and psycological stuff, I really want to see it. Although I am somewhat mature for my age in "some ways", I am unsure if I'd be able to handle it as I take things very seriously. I haven't seen any of it yet, but read the reviews for it. So I would be happy to recieve some opinions on this matter.

Could you exapnd a little? What did the characters looked like? What was the plot about? Give me something more to work on here.

I'm sorry to say, I do not remember much. I think the character design was a bit like Lain, but I am not absolutely sure. There was definantly some romance, although perhaps indirectly. I remember... fire...and robots. I'll add anything else if it comes back to me.

Was it Haibane Renmei? The anime instantly popped into my mind, even though I've never seen it. It's made by the same people who did Lain, and has a smilar art style, and it seems like one of those animes that might make you think, like Lain did. It's in the library: http://www.animeacademy.com/finalrevdisplay.php?id=142

The only thing is that it sais it's a drama. I have no clue if there's romance involved with the anime, but who knows? Maybe my instincts are right and this is the one you're looking for. If not, then good luck in finding it.

There is a very small amount of romance in Haibane, and definately no robots ^_^;

I've actually seen a couple episodes of Haibane Renmei, it is what introduced me to the idea of Lain. It definantly wasn't that, but thank you for the thought. ^_^

What was the romance in Haibane Renmei? I must have missed that...

What was the romance in Haibane Renmei? I must have missed that...Saikano had cyborgs and romance and looks kinda like lain.

Saikano!

And Finnf00 has won the all-expences-paid trip to Hawaii!

Unfortunatly, I now realize that Saikano is rated Mature. And I was so looking foreward to it too... Thanks everyone who helped though, and I am still wondering about my other question if anyone wants to post their opinion. (Below)

Lain is a good anime, although you have to pay close attention to everything in this anime. I recommend by watching the entire show in one day (its only 13 eps long). It just a mind trip to watch. My only complaint about the anime is it can be somewhat dry and boring sometimes, but the thought of the show is what makes it great.

I hope i helped you out
