At first glance, this series looked just like another typical high school ecchi show, but after having watched up until episode 6, this has turned out to be a pleasant surprise.

This series actually do a lot of things well, some where many romance animes failed at, for one, they know when to pull the comedic parts, there isn't any inappropriate ecchi joke pulled during dramatic portions that would totally kill the moment. Another thing is, it's very quick and blunt, none of that "misunderstanding caused by hesistation from one or more characters" thing that happens in many many romance series.

I am very very pleasantly surprised by this series. Since the english subs is only at ep 2, I won't spoil it for you guys, but those that think this is just brainless ecchi, this is much more.

Anyone else watching this one?

I saw ep 1 the first time it was released subbed.

It certainly seemed to be just an ecchi comedy. Granted I haven't seen too much in that genre so I didn't mind as much as some might.

But the only character I really liked was Marie. Marie was completely badass. That alone is enough for me to continue watching, your surprise will just justify it more.

But as of yet 0.3% for 2.
We'll see how far I can go with Tonagura, Marie's badass-status will probably only be effective for 5 eps or so...in that time I hope it surprises me as it did to you

*bump*

I have a feeling this show let me down a bit. After the great arc that ended at ep 6, the relationship between the main male and female lead staled, and not much more character development like before. In fact I felt there were a couple filler episodes that can be done without, since I believe this is a 13 ep series, it can do without it.

I hope the last couple episodes will be good, but I am not sure if it will go back to the level that is of episodes 5 and 6.

The "hesitation thing" I tend to find annoying. I ought to give this anime a look-through based on what you're describing it as.
