The main reason this show is lightyears ahead of 'American Idol' is that contestants have much more freedom, both in song choice and in clothing style (both important variables). So far, my favourites are Zayra (Lluvia De Mar was stunningly gorgeous) and Dilana (can she just win already?). I like the final 8 okay. Except for Ryan; his little squint is irritating...

One thing I do like about the show is that it really cuts down on the fluff and the oh-so-sickening idolizing factors. The show just boils down to pure charisma and talent - so bullsh*t whatsoever. However, perhaps this may be the reason why it isn't as popular as American Idol, but I don't give a darn about that... not to mention I'm rock junkie.

I think the hosts deserve some credit for making the show very entertaining, namely Dave Navarro :headbang: ...

Sometimes Dave talks gay-ish ... like "honestly, ...." hehe. But I've liked him since the first time he came out.

I like Storm too, but she's pancakes compared to Dilana.
Something about Dilana grabs attention. Her voice is very unique, nothing like what's currently on the radio. She is always dressed up and not only that, but she puts on a great show. They should just hand her the crown, right now...

I think Dilana is going to shoot herself in the foot soon with her attitude, theres being confident but she's starting to bug me big time. Watch for Magni, he was in the bottom 3 tonight but he still kicks ass.

Come on, it's nice for a change, don't you think? After all with his mayhem in his Carmen Elektra days and wreaking havoc with the band, I find it rather pleasant he's milder with his words. Apparently, this is one reason why I find it more entertaining than vexing.

Here here. She's good, but her attitude does get to the nerves at times.

Well, as looking at the last episode (the elimination one), I see they are attempting to ruin Dilana's winning streak by making her look like a bitch. I still love her and see the humbility she so desires, and she right now is the only contender. Her & Magni, anyone else would be just a mistake waiting to happen.

Interesting show. I agree, it is much more an audition than a live soap opera, like most of these reality shows.

Storm is from my town, and is an amazing singer and performer. I think she'd make a perfect frontwoman for this band.

Storm was a favourite of mine early on, but recently she has gotten far too cocky and I don't really like it. She usually has a "I know I'm dah bawmb" face on, and it's disturbing because she hasn't had any groundbreaking performances. I'm not saying she doesn't have a chance of winning; I just don't think she's the "stuff".

I like Storm a lot. She is hot, she can sing, and she did one of the most kick ass versions of "Anything, Anything" I've ever heard.

I like Lucas quite a bit too, I want to raid his makeup box. He kind of reminds me of myself sometimes, with his moody sulkiness. I was talking to my mom (who loves the show with a weird passion), and she said she thinks he seems bipolar. Maybe that would explain why I identify with him then. Also, I love his voice, so gravely and strangely cool.

Delana...well, I like her, but she needs an ego check, stat. Seriously. Also, they tell the other artists to show some depth and go outside of the box, but she keeps doing the same thing over and over. I guess thats what works.

And I also really like Magne (what a freaking voice!), he nails those Bowie covers. So good. And I like Ryan alot too, he has this amazing intensity and a singing voice to match. Also, he did a superb job when he sang Losing My Religion with the piano. The only thing I didn't really care for was his Enjoy The Silence rendition, but I'm so damn picky about DM covers.

And I HATED Zayra. She couldnt sing. Her outfits were horendous. The only time she was even remotely decent was when she sang her original song in spanish, and I wondered why the **** she wasn't doing that instead. Seriously, it irked me to see her stay week after week when more talented singers were getting sent home, just because she made a spectacle out of herself.

Lucas's voice is intense.
It angers me that Jason keeps buggin' him about it, as if it's not healthy (?) or something.

:love: 's Zayra's outfits! Gosh, I wanted them... That reminds me, her album "Ruleta" is out. It's pretty great; I love the Spanishnessness. Something you can do this too. :bellyemot

Well, Dilana was in the bottom three this week. Good for her. If Storm's "cocky", then what do you call Dilana? It's like she's seeking attention by doing/saying something nasty so the spotlight would be on her.
As for Storm, bah. She's just like Dilana. Great voice, but nothing else. Well, at least she's tall and good -looking. Right now, my fave is Toby. Call me crazy, but I like his antics onstage.

BTW, Dave went "OH MY GOHD. It's the Dahrk Horse." . So funny.

I disagree about storm. I think most of her bravada is posturing, playing it up for the crowd. She seems really fun and laid back when she's not on stage, like when they're hanging around the house.

'Rebel Yell' was awesome. Geez, I wish I'd been invited on stage. =-P

I'm just liking Storm less and less, then she does something and I like her again. Though I much prefer her earlier performances, her take on Evanescence was pretty good (not her range, but nice). However, I don't see her remaining much longer.

I see it coming down to Toby, Dilana, and Magni. Maybe Lukas, he's been amazing.

Storm should've made Bring me To Life her own song, it looked like she was trying too hard to reach Amy Lee's range.

Dilana should do something worth remembering. I know her voice is awesome (though her take on Psycho Killer was just horrible)... but her lyrics writing is sucky; remember that time they were made to write the lyrics to a Supernova track? She wrote something about lotions and the beach :P
An awesome voice is a great asset, but this isn't American Idol. If she wins, she will be the frontman of a rock band, and she will need to do something that will carry the band as a whole, not just herself.

Okay, who else was pissed that Lukas won?!

He was growing on me, but golly, he so doesn't fit the image to lead Supernova. Their chemistry is good I guess, but solo he sort of flunks. And, a winner must excel at both. Dilana owned his made-up ass, and they are knew it. It was most likely Tommy's "I'm-the-center-of-attention" problem that she didn't win; she stole the show constantly. And, you could tell Dave disagreed. He pretty much offered the prize to her, up front.

I don't like Dilana, so along with Canada, I'm glad Lukas won. Though I don't like him much either coz he looks way too much like my ex-bf. Creepy. I preferred Toby over either of them.
