That was kind of funny, but there's no way they can make comparisons on two systems that havent hit the market yet. Still, I think the Wii is the better deal, but I will probably get a PS3 as well in the distant future. If the systems looked like their counterparts in the video though, Nintendo would be rich.

One thing I gotta get out of my chest: It seems that PS3's biting more than it can chew. They have all the out-of-this-world feature, yet it's quite unpopular to the people... at least from what I heard. Not to mention how outrageously-costly PS3's claiming it will cost, but seems like XBOX 360 or Wii's gonna steamroll Sony this time around.

I gotta agree with AC......the Wii just isn't going to be the same anymore.

I also agree that Sony may be trying to bite off more than it can chew. Perhaps they just aren't thinking of what people want a console to do. What I want a console to do is play games. That's all. I don't particularly care if it can cook dinner, wash my dog and save the world, I just want it to play games.

THere is no doubt that Wii will be sucessful. I know I plan on buying one at launch with at least 3 games and a bunch of accessories, but there is also no doubt in my mind that I will eventually own a PS3. It's not as if I am just going to completely miss out on a home version of Virtua Fighter 5, Metal Gear Solid 4, and Final Fantasy XIII.

Right now it seems that the Wii will become the dominant system because even japan thinks the PS3 is too expensive. The 360 isn't a threat to anyone over their either, and the only way it may pick up is when Blue Dragon comes out, because apparently Akira Toriyama can sell consoles in japan better than Microsoft can.

AUS$999.95 for the PS3 premium (http://www.harveynorman.com.au/searchProduct.tho?searchText=PS3). Even though Harvey Norman probably are a bit more expensive than others, still, I'm guessing possibly AUS$899.95 for the unflashy version from them......

If I buy a console this gen, it's going to be the Wii.

This is daylight robbery by Sony. Seriously, whoever buys it is a game junkie or a Sony-philic. I also heard the console releases were originally delayed due to hardware malfunctions, and I know this is gonna cost them dearly in the long run. The main reason why PS2 overshadowed XBOX is because of its early release, but I guess that didn't go up to Sony's "CPU".

Is there any difference with it, or is it the "was gonna be 600 bucks better system (Because sony seems to steal ideas now)", How insane of Sony to sell a system this expensive, havn't seen one this much since the Neo Geo. Sorry sony, I will buy your console sooner or later but at that price, I rather give everything I have to Nintendo. Oh right the Youtube video, Meh not as good as the Mac vs pc ones, can care less if the system comes with the hot chick, I wouldn't pay much attention to her, since I'll be playing my Wii non stop. Anyways, I've been thinking, and I'll probably put all my money towards the Wii. The PS3 can wait two or three years for me, and by then, it'll be cheaper, there will be no bugs in the system for sure, and there will already be plenty of good games to choose from. Plus, it gives me more time to save up for one without feeling rushed.

This is part of the reason that I think Sony has lost sight of what people want in a console. I don't think most people would really want to pay that much money (even when my country is the grip of 'affluenza', as the boffins call it) for something that essentially plays games.

The sad thing is, that they are probably going to make enough sales so that they won't see a need to re-examine their stratagies.

Maybe Sony got carried away with all their previous success. Sony is believed to be having a declining landslide as far as their surpluses are concerned, as this is one factor that justifies just that.

They lost the overall big picture of what gaming is all about. The console looks like any other DVD player (which explains the unattractiveness the clip was trying to portray) and the gamepads look kinda awkward and uncomfortable. Personally and apparently, XBOX 360 and Wii look more appealing.

Gaming consoles are always about balancing the trade-offs between quality and cost. For this, I would actually give the goodies a thumb up, but others two thumbs down for the overall aspect of the console.

I think I'll do the same as jetfire and wait for the cost to die down. I myself am not concerned to get the console that soon unlike certain people.
