Tenacious D: Ahh, how it brings back memories... what the hell happened to them!? Those two people, Jack Black and Kyle Gass make a wonderful duo, surprisingly. They make one of the funniest lyrics too...
My favorite song among the funny songs (and especially the music video) has got to be "Tribute" (also strangely dubbed 'The Greatest Song In The World'). Remember how Jack and Kyle got into the singing booth and supposedly met The Devil himself...? Then they got so caught up they began crooning to bewildered passer-bys outside? Man, that was hilarious...:smiletode
...wish they would make songs again soon...

Amen.
To me, Jack Black and Kyle Gass are cut from the same cloth as guys like . . . like Patton Oswalt, if you've seen his standup special. They're guys swiftly approaching middle age who don't give a fsck about middle age, because on the inside, they're still in their twenties and they want to communicate to the world the kind of old-school awesomeness that they know.
I like "Lee" the best because it illustrates one of those old-school concepts: something that is cool for absolutely no reason. Who's Lee? We don't know, they don't tell us s**t about Lee. But we know he's the man.
