im planning on attending a Convention soon but not sure wich one..But the reason that keeps me from going to one sooner than what i plan on, Is that i don't know what kind of prices to expect.

so if anyone who has been to a convention plz if you don't mind could you share your experience with detail explaining if the prices are about the same, cheaper or more expensive.

Tend to be a few bucks more expensive for me . . . But most of the stuff you can buy at cons I don't see anywhere else anyway. :P

One of the nice thinsg about Cons is that places compete. Sure, you may not ever see that mostly-naked statue of Rei Ayanami anywhere outside of a con, but 15 different booths will have it, each trying to sell it, so they may lower their prices a bit (or you can always walk about to one of the workers and say "Hey! The guy down the strip has *this* for only $15 and you have it for $20!" My ex got a $200 Gundam model for a little over $60 this way...).

DVDs and Manga are generally sold at a certain discount (10% is pretty normal), so it may not be too great of a deal depending on how you normally buy your anime, but some places will have really good sales, especially for boxsets, and especially the last day of the con.

Really, I suppose it just comes down to that its cheaper if you're smart about buying it. If you just pick up the first Yaoi Naruto Doujinshi that you see then, well, maybe you didn't get the best price. Like buying in the real world, it's about research and exploring your optins.

Also they tend to slash prices more towards the end of the Cons....though it may be harder to find stuff, sometimes.
