It's nice a chibi-rific. I like her eybrows, big plus there (I love eye-brows...)
I do suggest cropping it to make whatever the main point of the picture is clearer and uping the contrast would make it appear brighter.

Mistakes are just part of life; don't sweat it. Most people don't notice even 25% of the mistakes you know are there. As for the picture, I love love love the eyes. They are so big and dark and beautiful. Nice job!

Not a bad effort, I must say. I can see the time and perseverance you put into the sketch. Word of advice: Try to clean up the edges... Good job.

that's one of my biggest problems with drawing, it's cleaning up the edges.

its definetly not bad. could use a few minor ajustments but i like it. the way u drew it makes the character seem to be younger. great job!

I have to say that that tears are a nice touch. It turns the drawing from being just some random princess-girl to someone who really needs a hug. In my opinion, adding emotion to a picture is almost always a good idea.
I also enjoy the way the penciling was done to the sky surrounding the sun/meteor/moon thingy. You made the air "eminate" outward from the orb. It makes it look like whatever it is might be rushing right at her (which could be a reason why she's crying?). It may sound stupid, but it adds character to the drawing (like the tears mentioned above).
Just two recommendations/nitpicks for the future: fix the lines above the orb (so that the blue above it also looks like it's radiating outwards, like the rest of the sky), and perhaps shade the craters in the orb a slightly different color... perhaps a darker yellow?
Anyway, awesome image. I don't know why I didn't comment on it earlier.
once again, not the BEST drawing in the world, but took time. yes it's ed from FMA. a very rough sketch.

Noteworthy attempt, but got the eye color wrong - Edward's eyes are supposedly tangerine.

Well it's better then my stuff (why do I always say that), I liek the first one the most, it's cute. Just keep practicing and you'll get better and better.

I like the new sketch, but fix the eye color (as already stated :p). It could use some more shading in the hair and some color in the face. But overall it's really nice! Good work!
grrr.....need....better....COLORED PENCILS!!! I wish I could mix the colors but, because of my shitty supply, it doesnt work that way!:thumbdown grrr...

if you're going to continue drawing (and i strongly suggest you do), then it is wise to invest in good and quality art supplies. it's going to cost you but it can also do wonders for your work. then there's practice, practice and practice. ^^

Ed's idea bubble looks very sketchy; without the 'water' comment, I almost couldn't figure it out at all. Try to clean it up; one such idea is to draw it chibi-style (not sure if that's what you're been meaning to do here)...

lol Watch FullMetal Alchemist. Roy can make fire by snaping his fingers and using alchemy. So I poured water on him. hehe :p

Yeah that's what I need to get around to. Of course, it's just a rough draft. I must redraw it or do Major erasing. lol

Even shitty colored pencils can produce a decent result with patience and practice. In my freshman art class I had to draw fairly elaborate portraits with a 12-pack of Prang colored penciles - try using yellow, pink, brown and an unexpected color, lime green, for the skin tone and go in lightly with purple to shade. The trick is to apply the color in lots of light layers instead of a big, heavy, waxy sheet, which won't be easy to blend at all :p. It'll take practice, but I think you'll be super-happy with the result! :D

also when combining colors, i learned that if you rub over the area that has multiple colors with a Kleenex or a rag, it will splice the color together a little easier and even out the solid coats so it looks nicer

the water, if you've watched the show is if Roy Mustang gets wet his alchemy powers are no good since he controls fire..thats why its best to attack him on a rainy day lol.
Great Drawings also :D, I love the Ed one

True, adding emotion does make a picture look better so that way they wouldn't look so, well, lifeless...

Hm...you know I personally think you shouldn't color the pictures.I never color my pictures because it just seems to mess it up for me somehow..and also I noticed that your second picture is kind of smeared..It always happens to me too.You should get better erasers.I use 'STAEDTLER Mars Plastic' My friend bought it from office depo (I think thats how you spell it) If there's no office depo near you,Go the the nearest store that sells good erasers.Try different kind of erasers and experiment with them.
Anyways,I love the pictures..Especially the first one.
