So I got bored and wrote a short story.
Anyway, comments appreciated^^
The Beautiful Universe
It was the year G.C. XX99. The kingdoms across the universe have gathered their armies to fight the powerful Earth invaders that are hell bent on conquering the galaxy. Little do they know that the purpose of this war is to generate enough hatred for Libra, the goddess of judgement created by a late philosopher, to then use destroy the entire universe - and therefore recreate it for it has lost all hope for salvation.
The man who has been pulling the strings, General Demi, has been challenged by the young king named Kalulua (who's entire planet was destroyed because of a war that is part of Demi's plan) piloting his mecha - a Black Dragon that can transform into a humanoid weapon.
Before the final duel, Kalulua's heart ached - he felt a pain he never once felt before that's even exceeding the pain he felt when he was filled with regret that he decided to pursue his dream of exploring the universe in sacrifice of his responsibilities as one of the two kings of his home planet. This pain was caused by the death of his brother (spiritual bond?) whom he never met after his world's tragedy.
Kalulua's brother, Dallas, actually participated in the war in hopes of saving his lover (who, with her powers, was brainwashed by the Earthlings and was turned into a destructive weapon). After the death of another woman who dearly loved him but was ignored in favor of his long lost true love (they got separated ain the war on their planet) that he knew he could never save, he realized that he has missed all his opportunities to find happiness in his life. As a king he failed his homeworld, and as a man he failed two women - one whom is willing to share his burden, and another who will never again remember the times they spent together. Perhaps the one last joy he felt was the presence (again, it's an spiritual bond thing) of his brother in the battle that's taking place.... but that is a split second before he rams his mecha to his lover's mecha - killing them both (and no, her memories never came back at all).
In spite of this, Kalulua remained strong....or at least he tried to be. He held back his tear and ended up tearing blood instead from the unbearable sorrow.
All these was orchestrated by Demi
".... All those feelings that you use to justify your existence has been long gone for millenias. All these emotions... these 'love', 'friendship', and 'peace' are nothing more than traces of their long gone existence...."
And yet Kalulua refuses to believe.... or he has nothing more to believe. And he decided to unsheath his sword to fight a battle to the death that's devoid of any more meaning.
Near the place where Kalulua and Demi is fighting is a human youth, Julian, who was not only terrified from the deaths of his friends, but at the corpse of his alien girlfriend (blue-haired elf-ish girl in civilian clothes) who was cut in half from the waist. All these time he bore a hatred to his own kind (starting from his horrible experiences with his family) and after the horrible death of the girl that could've possibly cleansed his destructive hatred, he stares at blank space with his mind and his heart filled with countless questions.
As Julian's eyes drops tears of blood similar to his friend Kalulua (who acted as a brother/father-figure to him in their past journeys), he aproached Libra (who was glowing from the overflowing hatred she is accumulating) in hopes to at least know what comes after.
Libra then emits bright light that will gradually be bright enough to consume the entire universe.
"Will the next world be free of this sorrow?"
"I cannot promise....but all creatures shall begin anew and behold the ruins of what onces was.... hopefully they will not repeat the same mistake...."
"Then let's go.... to that beautiful universe"
Julian's body gets covered by a brighter and differently colored light.
Everyone who can see it was startled by its shining beauty.
Demi couldn't comprehend what he saw until his dying breath.
Kalulua, severly injured from the fight, dies inside the cockpit of his dragon friend who was even more gravely injured. But that was after he felt an indefinable warmth after seeing the same light from Julian across the vastness of space like the brightest stars.
Perhaps it is the "truth" that centuries of philosophers have hoped to define?
Or is it....
...."the soil of which the new worlds shall grow to create the beautiful universe...."
------
BWAHAHAHAHAH
Randomness galore eh?
Yes the whole universe gets destroyed and a lot of the spirits of different creatures across the universe became the light that shall give birth to a new one. And because the light that Julian, and millions of others possess is the "emotion" that Demi believe was nothing more than an ancient relic, the new universe would be even better than the current one. So it's a happy ending in context :P
Oh and yeah it's very inspired by "those" if you know what I mean.
Pretty unoriginal but I wanna get it off my head XD
Now if there are more characters to kill....
PS: No infants losing their heads so far though I'm thinking about it XD
Anyway, comments appreciated^^
