This is the original:
http://home.sc.rr.com/iconoclasm/pictures/osasen.jpg

A JPG done in Paint Shop Pro with some really crappy source images (that were actually smaller than the final image).

The remake:

A PNG done in Photoshop CS2 9.0, with very choice source images.

I think the remake is 100X better. I got rid of most of the "fuzz" from the first image, was able to make it bigger as well... Plus I got it done in maybe a third of the time than the original (and I just got PS yesterday so I was mostly trying it out opposed to when I made the original I had a good bit of experience with PSP). The difference some better software can make ey

You might want to blur the outline around Osaka with the blur tool. Edges look too sharp IMO.

The difference some better software can make eyNah, you could've done the second one in Paint Shop Pro easily enough. The main difference is better source material.

As Kurorakuda mentioned, Osaka's outlines are fairly rough. Her right side (from our perspective) in particular is too jagged. Her lower left side (again, from our perspective) looks much better.

yah I noticed that edge whenever I "stroked" Osaka but I didnt know how to get rid of it. Tried you suggestion with the blur tool and applied it liberally to the edges of the stroke and here is the result:

Think its definitely an improvement... Especially that that right side was really rough before but now it isnt so bad. Wasnt quite sure how to use the tool effectively.

well I was mostly refering to the ease of use... PSP was a pain in the ass... especially with the magic wand... maybe I didnt know how to use it that well but then again I was still able to figure it out better with PS in a shorter amount of time..

also alot of the "fuzz" in the original came from when I was saving it as a JPEG.. It didnt look nearly that blurry when I was working on it in PSP but as soon as I saved it the fuzz was crazy... Its like as soon as you merged the layers it all went to hell... Maybe thats cause of the JPG format tho...

Coming from the king of funny avas/sigs, that is a true compliment. :D

Lol saw 3ADOS mentioned in your sig :p Anybody can join if they want to you can just put that your a member in your sig so that other people know you are a person of discriminating tastes.

I once had the member's list but that was a super pain in the ass to maintain so I don't even bother with it anymore.

I agree. Other than that, it did a great job! Good work! :art:
