anyways, me and a couple of friends are thinking of going to animethon in edmonton and are organizing a trip right now. However, it seems we're having a few problems with the "official animethon hotel". anyone can recommend a good hotel to stay over for one night?

also, who here from calgary thinks of going there?

well, I actually have rooms booked at the mayfield inn. I think that place is decent and it'll be like 50 per person for a night, since we share rooms

well it only just so happens that this is a 1 on 1 chat. I was trying to recruit people to go to the animethon and I thought that justifies a thread

Thread for getting people to come and to spread the word? Totally fine. But once you start talking ONLY to one person (IE, making specific plans, asking for IM names, so on and so forth), that's when it becomes time to start talkign to the person via PMs instead of in the thread.

No need to get defensive, it's just a warning, and I'd rather warn than delete posts.
