I'm trying to find a nonleather Randoseru bag. You know those really cute school bags in cardcapture,fruits basket,etc. I don't wear leather and i really want one of those bags.

Doing a quick search (even translating pages), all of the ones I saw were leather. They may not make them using alternate materials. The boycotting of leather is mostly an American idea, and even here in the Staes, it's hard to find some normally leather things made with either synthetic leather or vinyl.

No, she didn't, and that wasn't what I was refering to. When a product (either by type or brand) that is usually made with leather (certain types of shoes and bags, for example) is made using either a faux leather, or a substitute (ie, certain types of vinyl), this is done because of consumers who boycott leather, often times because of animal cruelty standpoints. We in the US are quite used to this, and it's not uncommon to find fake leather, but it's not as common in the other countries as it is is the States.

*blink* She's talking about a product (a specific kind of backpack that is bought for Elementary school children in Japan) that is made only in Japan, and outside of references to real life, has NOTHING to do with anime. Event if the bag is "only made in Japan" theres resale and remakes. As long as its a non-leather Randoseru bag. Event if its not from Japan. outside of references to real life, has NOTHING to do with anime

I acually found two on ebay that used synthetic materials, but I'd rather have a newer one so i'm going to search around a bit more. Thanks for the help. Also, i'm vegan so I won't EVER wear anything that comes from an animal. Wow ya'll can get really hot headed.

I have seen those bags in calgary (In china town), the use alternate material, because leather is the more expensive material .... I dont know where you live so this might be useless, but if you ever get super desperate just send me a pm or email I could go grab one =)


P.S. I should also say Im not a connoisseur of these bags so I cant speak to the quality of the ones I have seen.

Oh yeah, E-bay works great. If you look hard enough, you could find one for a pretty good price, too.
