Well then, you really won't like book 10. It's honestly one of the cleaner books, in terms of girls flashing the reader. But it does build upon the relationship of the 10 y/o and the students. Great stuff!

Negima is entertaining, but as far as Akamatsu's work goes, Love Hina was better. And the whole him-being-ten thing? Yyyeeaah.

I absolutely love Akamatsu's drawing style. I just wish that he can draw something a bit cleaner.

I like reading manga around the house, and it'll just be awkward when people who don't know anime or manga pick up an Akamatsu work, to see what it is I've been obsessing about... especially if they're ten.

I absolutely love Love Hina. It was Love Hina that really got me into anime, five or six years ago or whenever it was new. Whatever it was that I really like about Love Hina, I didn't see any of it in Negima... granted, I only saw one episode of the anime, and thumbed through a few random pages of the manga without reading though it. I tried to get into it, but couldn't; perhaps it was the fact that I was so disgusted.

now now i can see how this could be seen as a repulsive manga by some but also keep a few things in mind when readng such

one it is a work of fiction and that this type of situatuion (minus the magic and the fact that he is a ten year old teacher) in which you have a horde of fourteen year old girls chasing after a ten year old child wouldn't happen in real life and that the young age is used more for comedic value than anything else, and two that the age gap between the girls and negi isn't all that big in which we can see age gaps of ten or more years happening all the time and such relationships are highly acceptable and that if the characters were of a much older age that a relationship between negi and any one of the girls wouldn't be frowned upon or even thought of as inappropriate.

read the story with some open mindedness and take it for what it is a comedy and nothing more, i happen to enjoy Negima and if you don't thats okay but don't go about bashing it solely for the fact that a majority of the charatcers are underaged and that the situations depicted in it can easily be viewed as inappropriate

Yes, though it was only during third grade back at California. Anyway I enjoy the manga I will agree that a 10 year old kid getting very attractive girls is more bad then a nerd (Keitaro(Love Hina)) getting them. I've been taking a break from the series so I can collect more promising mangas.
