Nice. You clearly have a strong conception of how an anime character usually looks like. By that I don't mean anything negative. I mean you couldn't tell that last pic from a pro design no matter how hard you tried. Have you thought about becoming a professional cartoonist or perhaps an animator, or is this just something you like doing as a hobby? I mean you never know when luck decides to kick you in the butt if you continue to draw stuff like that.

I'm currently making an entry for the Rising Stars contest by Tokyopop.
I want to be a mangaka.
I wish I could be one sooner, but maybe I'll just submit an entry to the contest, then buld my portfolio via online manga maybe.
Another problem is, if I don't win the contest, I dunno what other alternatives I got. I mean who else besides Tokyopop offer job opportunities on manga (besides "maybe" Dark Horse comics)?
Well I thought "whatever"
I'm gonna risk it^^
Wish me luck^^

Wish me luck^^Well I can only speak out of personal experience. If you continue on determined and commited to your stuff -whatever it may be (drawing comics or pushing for a career in animations)- sooner or later something will come your way. I have no idea how old you are, but not making a Rising stars in Manga release means nothing. I got into animations at age 24, and I'm still concidered young.
Becoming a mangaka or any other type of cartoonist really has nothing to do with getting on the payroll of a big publisher. Go to the more industry driven comic fairs (not the fan driven cons) and show your stuff to professionals. Go up and ask people how they got into the business. If nothing else helps, there's no one preventing you from just sending your stuff around to different publishers. Of course if you do strips you might want to try local news papers etc. The possibilities really do not end with Tokyo Pop. Also, the more people you know who're into the same stuff as you, will certainly be beneficial later in life.
Edit: I just remembered this guy called Scott Frazier, who writes about getting into and working in the industry of comics and animation. This site can shed some light on the subject http://www.janscottfrazier.com/. Radio Comix is also a good place to try. They accept submissions from anyone willing to give it a shot. http://www.radiocomix.com/submit.html

Youäll have to check that up yourself. But who cares if you get money or not? As long as you can get your work published you'll have a better chance of getting noticed. If you get noticed you might create wider interest in the stuff you do, and maybe your next release will earn you some money. I mean you can't expect to break over night. Getting into a very individualistic industry doesn't quite work in the same way climbing the foodchain at a big corporation does. It's a lifetime full of uncertainty and you'll never know where you'll get money from to survive. However, if you've got the passion for drawing comics you won't mind being constantly broke, it would still be the most inspiring and interesting industry you would ever end up in.

Again, Thank you very much
I'm gonna be on break from school around next week :)
I hope I finish my current manga project by that time so that I could get it off my mind and move on to my other ideas.
I'm new to this manga publishing and submission stuff (only heard of it by the end of last year) and I believe it's a BIG opportunity. No matter how tough it may be, well everyone HAS to start somewhere^^
I got the tools (Manga Studio, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, etc.)
All I need now is time and space
and yeah enough motivation^^

Exactly as I would say it :D
I've begun to work on my own webcomic, Motivation and enjoyment are the two main things a web comic artist needs :D
Time isn't such a big deal at all, but it helps get your fan base up to motivate you :D .
But commenting on your characters, I see your really good at drawing females, in fact that's most of what I see xD
Inno, this is just comming from a guy who can't draw females very well because I've never drawn many.
