I got this under misc cause it's Jack Thompson and has nothin to do with games, but you guys do whatever you want with it.

I may intimidate and/or threaten people with the evil stink eye and they flee like little pansies, but I don't shoot em.

Anyone, regardless of age, who imitates, or "reinacts" stuff they see in either games, TV, or movies have what I call, say it with me a "Diminished sense of reality".

Not just M-rated games. He attacked Flight Simulator of all games once.

Also, have you noticed how he attacks GTA, where Hot Coffee was an optional mod and not Leisure Suit Larry where the whole point is to get your guy laid? I think it's because since Rockstar is successful company, he can grab the most money from them.

I'm with Rit. They guy has no credability left in my eyes. I think the cops only seized the video games to shut the guy up. As the sherriff said, 'I think it goes beyond than video games, but who's to say?'. It is entirely possible that the kid was deranged enough to take inspiration from GTA, but I seriously doubt that.

As fro Thompson's other comment, that only hitmen and gamer's shoot people in the face, I can add soldiers, terrorists/freedom fighters, Gansters, mafia members and angry housewives to the list straight away. More will come if I bother to think about it.

His biggest problem that I can see is that his definition of a 'video game', a 'gamer' and even a 'video game company' is so narrow, that it only encompasses violence.

My point exactly. He attacks GTA, but not Leisure Suit Larry, The Guy Game, Playboy: the Mansion, or any other pornographic, yet unsuccessful game to date. Again, successful companies mean more money.

We were just kidding! We were just playing with his definition of a video gamer.
