I'm currently looking to hire a translator to help translate manga jap to english. This is a paid position by per manga translated. If anyone could refer me to someone who would be interested or help me please feel free as I said to send a pm my way. I would very much appreciate any kind of help. I apologize if this is against any rules in this section of the forum. Gomenaisai :)
Bah I just realized that I posted this in the wrong forum so if any mod would be so kind to move it to Manga section. I'm so sorry for causing so much trouble already. -___-;;

You would have to specify also the degree of Japanese proficency required. I'm sure someone who could translate Card Captor Sakura for example would potentially have tremendous difficulty with something like Evangelion.

And it'll probably be more expensive than you expect.

Thanks so much to which ever mod moved this. Sorry to bother you.
We pay according to chapter of a manga. FYI these manga are targetted more towards the mature audience. I am not from a company or of any sort but more like a fansub group but just that this position is paid because of the amount of work/time u put into it. I can't discuss how much you get pay ohter then by chapter becuz the rate is negotiable and it also depends on ur skills. We do not have a forum which we are currently working on it, but we do have a irc chan on rizon. We have recently lost our translator and this is why we are in desperate search of a new one because we need to release the next chapter.

I do not mean to come off as making this a advertisement place for this position so I do greatly apologize.

As for the knowledge of the language rating skill of 1-10 I would say that you need to be at least a 7 or higher to get this position. Also we would like to see some of your work before we say we will hire you or at least one manga chapter. Thank you all and I did not mean to confuse anyone.

Yeah. That requires serious proficiency.

Lol.

Actually, hentai contains a lot of terms and speech patterns that most people not extremely proficient if not fluent would have trouble with.

What I want to know is...

What company are you working for? Because if you work for a scanlation group this thread is not allowed. So which company are you working for, whats your name and position and what title(s) are you asking to be translated?

Chances are, the request is from an scanlation group. Companies don't go translator-hunting by posting in anime/manga forums, and the few occasions when they do, they contact an especific scanlation group, instead of shooting in the dark. Placing an add in a newspaper, looking for old curriculums or with translating companies are the more conventional ways to look for professional translators (manga or otherwise).

*Sigh*
I do recall saying that I do not work for a company but just a manga translating group if you consider that scanlation group then whatever. We just translate manga from jap to english if that is consider wrong then perhaps all anime should not be fansubbed either. I understand this is consider advertisement, but if it was consider such then which ever mod moved this thread should've just locked the thread and deleted it. I did not mention my group or website anywhere on this thread so in a way I don't think I"m advertising for anyone other then myself. All I'm asking is if anyone could help me out. In conclusion I do apologize for any misunderstanding.

Translating per se is not wrong... it's when you distribute it that it turns sour for you...

We don't consider scanlations/fansubs "wrong" at AA, but it is against forum policy to discuss places to obtain them and specific names.
