I have not had much success in evoking any sort of response from Anime Academy on other Les Claypool related topics, but I thought I'd give this one a try anyway, because I'm so utterly confused by this album.
"One Better" is an absolutely fantastic song. "Iowan Gal" is awesome and reminds me of Zeppelin's "Bron-Y-Aur Stomp," but otherwise, the album seems really boring. The only other notable track, in my opinion, is "Rumble of The Diesel," and it really doesn't even strike me very much. I feel like One Better and Iowan Gal could have been songs on a future Primus E.P. and Les Claypool could have saved his efforts. Gabby La La is just annoying. Skerik is still the man, but I'd rather hear him guest at some Primus concerts.
I guess I just want more Primus.
