It's a might fine trailer. Except that his costume looks off...something feels wrong about it.
Is that John Williams' Superman Main Theme I hear?
This trailer has won me over. Hook, line, sinker. XD

Looks kinda "rubbery" in a way to me.
Anyway, damn great trailer. Succeeded in getting me interested.

I hated that trailer - not the content, but the constant, out-of-timing fade-to-blacks began to make my eyes go blurry after a while.

It was a good trailer but from my sources of what I have heard is that the story line is so-so and that the movie might lag for a while.

I liked the trailer. :O
Routh doesn't seem like complete shit to me anymore and I'm as excited about Spacey doing Luthor as ever.
This film promises to have some memorable moments, and you ran already tell, a badass sequel. >_>

for some reason whenever I watch or read superman I always root for Lex Luther to win. Is that odd? I admire his cunning while all superman really has is physical strength and ability. Thats why I think spiderman and batman are better super heros.
As far as the trailer goes, it seemed decent. I will probably watch just to see how well spacy plays Luther.
...goes to rewatch the origional superman movies.

still amuses me that they had to digitally reduce the size of his bulge.

I think the actor is a little too young. I mean, Chris Reave did the movies in his 30's. This guy is like, early 20's. Now I have heard that this movie is supposed to be based after the Christopher Reeve movies, but of course it may be bad info.

Speaking with the costume designers earlier this year, they told us that whilst the bulge indeed was the most complicated issue in terms of the costuming, they worked out a practical solution involving a codpiece and special padding which ultimately negates the issue. Thus any stories of costly digital manipulation are as fake as those CG-enhanced Kevin Costner hair in "Waterworld" urban legends.

Ara ra,
My favorite bit...
Jimmy: Look, in the sky.
Lois: It's a bird.
Perry: It's a plane.
Jimmy: No, look it's--
Clark: You wanted to see me?

Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor looks like he'll be the best thing about the film.
Everything else seems 'wrong'. Why the hell does Kent look more buff than Superman?.. and Lois with a Kid??
Suit looks horrible. Like bad CG in reverse.
At least this trailer is much better than "The Passion of Kal-El" from before.

I know great lines there. I'm so psyched for this movie. I know it can't compare to the original superman movies, but it will defiantely be a fun thrill ride. The CGI loooks great and the actors look like they're gonna do a great job, especially Kevin Spacey and I actually think this Bradnon Routh guy suits the role well, not just cause hes a Chirstopher Reeve look alike, but he seems like a good actor. We'll just have to wait and see.

I think it looks great. I'm not getting hung up on the way he may or may not look as some people envision Superman but then again Superman looks pretty diffrent today in comics then he did when he was first created way back when.

The actress playing Lois is way, way, way too young. She's 23 in real life. She looks like she just stepped out of high school (let alone college) and she's a top news reporter? Please.

Lemmie get this straight. You're ok with an alien from another planet with invulnerability, super speed, super strength, x-ray vision, heat vision, freezing breath, and who knows what other powers Superman now has. But you're not ok with Lois looking too young?

lmao that last part was hilarious...
but are we assuming that the old Christopher Reeves movies already took place in this movie? Or is it like a redo like Batman was?

...which makes no physical sense, as if his eyes are that solid (they don't even bend inwards as the bullet hits), kissing him would be like kissing a solid stone statue - and wouldn't his hair also be super-solid (i.e. no Earth hairbrush could be used on it)... or I might be over-thinking this too much...

I think you're forgetting that Superman's hair is super-manageable. Either that or he used his super-intellect to synthesize Kryptonian hair gel.

...not forgetting his hair would be so strong that if you tried to touch it, it would pierce through your fingers like needles... scary thought, that one.

It takes place after Superman II.

It takes place after Superman II.
because we all know that Superman III and IV were just side stories outside of continuity. After all, no real Superman fan would consider Richard Pryor a genuine sidekick. :)

Wikipedia to the rescue again!
"The most common explanations for his invulnerability are Superman having a super-dense molecular structure and/or a bioelectric "aura" creating an invisible "force field" around his body within a few millimeters from his skin, and presumably within his body as well."
Of course! That explains what stopped the bullet in his eye. Super-bio-electric-force-field!

Sorry guys, Cryptonite hair-brush.
It weakens his hair at that point so he can style it as he wishes, then once removed he has all his powers back AND extreme style, managibility and hold.
Gel would leave him an easy target for a scalping.

I agree it sucked you in. This one was cool and the second too, but the first just caught my attention so quickly. Short and amazing.
