Their no longer is any use to having a ticketmaster. Tool concert tickets went on sale for 55 dollars, other websites bought out the tickets and are selling them between 300-900 dollars. I already paid 300 to see nin when the tickets only should of been 75, this is getting stupid. Isn't ticket scalping illegal. I heard that they already cracked down on these types of sites for selling oscar tickets.

HOLY CRAP!!! 300 to see NIN nails. You are what I would call a true fan. And yes that is illegal. They are not supposed to sell it for kmore than the price that is on the actual ticket.

$600 for $20 Hyde tickets? BS, I'll just buy the concert DVD. It may not be nearly as cool, but hell if I'm lining those stupid scalpers' pockets.

In a country as fiercely capitalist as ours, scalping should hardly be so offensive. Whether there are bans on it or not, ticket scalping is entirely in the national spirit.

OK, w/e, YOU pay $300 to go to a concert then if you're so un-offended.

But, yes, I know it is illegal, and there isnt much you can do about it, but hell, give it a try.

My grandmother recently paid $300 to go see the Andrea Bocelli concert. :\

That's the reason you have friends in higher places. Like fellow DJs who can get you into a Sting Concert for 15 bucks.

I've been in the business long enough to know where and how to get the tickets from Radio Stations.

I would love to have freinds in higher places but.... i cant. But my parent won tickets to Paul McCarrtney from the radio.

Well that may work for people who actually know, and by you using 'fellow' I'm assuming you also worked with, DJs, but for us common folk who have no DJ connections its pretty hard.

I'm sure there had to have been somewhere you could've purchase reasonable tickets. If I ever have the option of buying either awesome Madonna tickets that are a wooping price of $$$$250+ or watch a C-list classic re-run on HBO, you can bet on my life it's gonna be the H-to-the-B-to-the-O. No doubt.

Recently discovered.

Scalping is not always illigal. there are some area that are allowed to sell them over the ticketed price. maybe these websites you speak of have a warrentor something.

Legit business are allowed to purchase tickets and resell them with "service charges". Its almost the same thing as ticket master is doing by selling their tickets higher than they should be. Pretty bad when its cheaper to get it off ebay than from ticket agency.

In the spirit of this radically ludicris opinion on capitalism maybe there could be another spin on it...

in other words, gas companies should be hiking up prices to around $50 a gallon, Wallmart should buy out all movie distributions and sell dvds for around $200 a piece and Bill Gates should monopolize groceries next so I have to pay $1000 for a gallon of milk and $500 for a balogna sandwhich.
