Whats you're oppinon on FlCl

In my oppion it Deserves a 10 out of 10 but due to its lack of episodes and um.....well thats prety much all thats wrong with it in my oppion what i think the reson was for lack of episodes is it is a test anime that Ganix made, but enyways i hade to give it a 9 out of 10 but its one of the best animes out there i loved it whats ur oppinon

several threads on this that i've seen but the one thing that saved this anime was its music. Its soundtrack greatly did well unlike the 6 episode anime. I love the series, I really do but some times you couldn't tell what was going on.

I give it around a 7 or 8 due to that factor

It's a mind**** that never lets up. For that, I love it. In my opinion though, that factor alone makes it a no-win situation. Part of its charm is its total lack of coherency and logic, but unfortunately, that's also one of its weaknesses. I think SC mentioned this in his review, but I'm too lazy to look it up.

Eight out of ten for me. It was a fun little 'WTF?' anime (kinda like Dead Leaves...) but in the long run I don't think it leaves much of a lasting impression. Its basically like a roller coaster ride, its fun for the moment, but it can leave you you unfulfilled and asking 'It's over? Already?' at its conclusion. It does have great music and fun characters (and character designs) though.

I liked the style, the soundtrack, and the random action scenes.

Unfortunately, there was never really any emotional connection to the characters, and because of that, I was never able to really care about them at all throughout the entire series. Plus, the attempts at humor missed many, many times. I think I laughed a few times half-heartedly throughout the entire series. Plus, oftentimes, I was bored out of my mind. Not really sure why. Maybe because I didn't really care about anything going on in that steaming pile of nonsense.

I give it a 7 out of 10. Plot is a lot to me, and all The Pillows' songs in the world could not have given FLCL a better plot. I agree with SoundChazer for the most.

It's one of the more re-watched shows of mine. It's starting to age (wtf? jesus it has been awhile since it came out, I'm just now realizing this...) but still feel extremely fresh and new.

The fact that I had to watch FLCL about 5 times (I know I have, and it isn't hard with 6 ep.) to find a trace of plot, is upsetting. Sure I picked up on the whole Atimusk (Spelling Correct, don't care?) space alien stuff the first time through, but that is because it is pretty much pointed out to you.

I'd like to buy FLCL, but the fact that they put two episodes on each DVD rather than cramming it all onto one or two DVDs REALLY pissed me off. I'm not paying for three DVDs for a 6 episode series. I guess I'll have to live with fading memories and the soundtrack which I have somewhere.

@Kagome: I completely agree with you. You can't even find it on e-bay for a lower price because it is such a cult favorite every Otaku with a wallet is bidding on them.

It also seems like every time I turn around, there is a new OST for FLCL. I understand music was a big deal in FLCL, but come on. How many OSTs do you need?

When I first watched it on CN it put me off a lot even though I saw the genius of it I was still put off, I watched it a couple of years later subbed and found out the problem was the dub, I wasn't as lost because after watching NGE this wasn't as WTF for me, i'd give it a 9/10 also but I felt 96% was extreme so I was glad that SC's review balanced it. Ok I am ready for some hate mail!!!!

Half the stuff in the series was completely unnecessary? That just adds to my case. If you are going to put something together (like a TV series, anime or not) you shouldn't make half the stuff pointless. Keep it to 1/5 in my opinion. Then atleast 4/5 would be meaningful, and might form a plot.

I'm fed up of you noob kids thinking it's the bees knees because it's all wacky and crazy and different and has good music. FLCL has been discussed to death and back again, and it's just got old. It is NOT a sacred cow, people ARE allowed to dislike it for whatever reason.

I personally like the thing, but I really have had more than enough of talking about it and watching it being talked about. There's only so much you can say about an anime.

Dude. Chill. Last time I checked this thread, no one treated FLCL like the God of All Anime and actually took consideration of other people's opinions on the show, no matter how negative it may be. Obviously, "you noob kids" pertains to no one in this thread, at least not yet.

There was a massive thread all about FLCL fanboys arguing with him about the series for pages upon pages upon pages. It gets tiresome. I've seen posts on the boards where people have flipped out if you dare insult the series. It's just stupid. And yeah, I'd say this animerules guy falls into that "noob kid" category pretty nicely. This thread, out of the hundreds I've seen on AA is admittedly one of the better ones - I'm just venting.

flcl deserves a 10/10, but like ritalin said theres no such thing as perfection so it gets a 9/10.

its music and animation style is great. the plot was so-so, but this anime wasnt based on plot. this is more like family guy but with a little more plot. its funny as hell and can do anything at any given momment.(ie: when naota grows a robot out his head.) thats why its so good.

I agree with Ritalin there. No matter how many times I watch it, it doesn't seem to get old. I don't think it's the greatest anime in the world though.
