I admit, I have a shoe fetish. High heels and boots mostly. I actually wear these so much that I would feel more comfortable and balanced in a pair of stilletos than in a pair of old sneakers (eeyuw). Odd, possibly, but I can't be alone here, am I? Hello? Anyone out there?

$40 is expensive? I was excited when I found my Puma's for only $88...those were difficult to find at the time around my area. They kinda died out for a while and have only recently started to make it back into the stores. God bless Nordstrom's and Niemen's.

I wear a $200 pair of Birkenstocks everywhere... nice dress shoes.... for kickball, school, yard word, and prom..... other than that, every once in a while I kick into a socks w/ sandals phase and those lasts a while; big thick green socks and a pair of Moses-sandals....

What is the difference between high heels and stilleto's? is it just that stilleto's are a brand name or is it that the heel has a triangular shape (as the word stilleto refers to a triangle)?

Being the swimmer that I am... Sandels and flip flops dominate my closet. I also have two pairs of vans, 2 pairs of adidas shell toes(baby blue and black), 4 pairs of K swiss, a pair of steel toed boots, and 3 pairs of dress up shoes. I also have like 5 pairs of house shoes.

As my girl friend tells me, I have an absurdly large collection of shoes for a guy...

Stilletos are very skinny heels, called Stilletos after the name of a type of daggar.

I hate shoes. Seriously, if I had may way (and it were practical) I'd go barefoot everywhere. My shoes cost like 20 bucks and they tend to last me years, but that's because in the summer I do tend to go barefoot or in sandals and in the winter I wear boots. I must have been a stripper in my past life, because I can walk, run, and dance in ANYTHING. I have a few pairs of six and seven inch platform fetish boots and shoes that I have wandered around san francisco in at three in the morning drunk and half asleep. I can't go into a shoe store without buying a pair of shoes, and I constantly have to stop myself from ordering new shoes online. I too have a shoe fetish. I also love socks. I spend gobs of money on them.

I just wear whatever's comfortable. I usually wear a pair of Nike basketball shoes that I must have bought 4 or 5 years ago or so. I've never had shoes that have lasted me this long. Best bloody shoes I've ever bought. :)

I wear sandals most of the time, even in the winter. Winters here aren't as bad, and my feet have gotten so used to it that it's not a problem at all. For church and special stuff, I have dress shoes, and the rest of the time, it's a pair of blue Nike Monster Shox.

Skate shoes are the most comfortable shoes ever. I don't Skateboard, haven't since I was 11, but really anyone could appreciate the level of comfiness found in a good skateshoe. They feel like they're giving your feet a hug.

I normally use one of two brands: For casual or tennis shoes, I always go straight to Sketcher's. These guys last me quite longer than they should (considering I used to burn through shoes as if they were made of paper), and I can usually find a decently priced shoe.

For more formal (dressy casual to formal) attire, I am Clark's slave. Seriously. I don't even see other brands. I always keep a black and a brown pair of leather loafers from these guys.

However, I've been having doubts about selecting Nike shoes in the futures because, I don't know why, but all my old Nike shoes were disposed for the same reason - all their soles were torn apart. I have a thing for sheos too. :3 Shoe shopping is really nice because unlike your body, your feet will most likely stay the same size for the rest of your life after you've stopped growing. Still, I've kept my busying impulses in check when it comes to shoes so I really have little to no fear being addicted to buying them as some people I know IRL. :p

My most used pair of shoes nowadays are my pink and brown Chucks, but I've been craving to get something a little cuter or with a little bit of a heel to go with my denim pencil skirt. I own a large repertoire of shoes (30-40 different pairs) for a guy, but have been wearing the same pair of brown vans (9 months of the year) for the last 7 years... I wear flip flops and sandals the reamaining 3 months (summer) of the year.

It's been several years since I have purchased a new pair of shoes too. It would be nice if my vans lasted for the rest of my life... that's impossible of course though. Even so, I have an entire closet of shoes in near mint condition, that with a little luck I may never have to go and buy another pair of shoes in my life.
