So I know us AA students have a passion for anime. So how into anime are you? Do you come to this site daily? Do you watch anime daily? Or is it weekly? Or monthly? Please post....

I visit Animeacademy almost daily. As for watching anime itself, I went from watching almost 3 hours a day(maybe even more on some occasions) two years ago, to barely watching anime once a week(usually Saturday nights). However, even with reduced amount of time I spend watching it, I'am still a big fan of it as a whole. I own over 60 anime DVDs and have subscribed to Newtype-USA to keep myself updated.

Kyoto summed me up also. I used to be a regular around here but I haven't the time lately to just sit down and watch anime. I no try to visit AA almost everyday when my schedule permits. Anime is teh rox0rs.

Me too:

I download 24/7, watch what I download as soon as I can, watch it over again with friends who wasn't there at the time I first watched it, visit friends, where we watch more anime, and so on, and so forth.

I also started buying DVDs some months ago, and check this forum and another anime forum multiple times a day. ;) Hell, I can even come with referrences to animes in any kind of discussion, or after any comment! (Well, almost. My friends often tells me when I do so, because I don't notice it myself. It's natural to me, damn it!) :D

I usually end up checking the site several times a day. As for watching anime, it's usually when I get the chance. Might be a few times in a week, might be one episode for a long while.

I do show my otakuness via other methods: my car, my clothes, choice phrases, etc. When I'm with my friends, anime related topics are sure to pop up somehow. Anime is in my everyday life, even though I can't watch it everyday..

Too much. Though I don't always watch anime everyday (not enough time) I have started to develop a twitch (and a bad temper) if I find myself deprived of anime/manga for any more than 2 days.

Thankfully, I am having a day of work on friday, which leaves ample opportunity for much anime watching (and also inflicting serious pain on my bank account!). Yay!

No it's not a plea at all. I put it in a nice way, cause that is how I am. When I say please post, it is asking to post in a nice way. No one has to reply to my threads. Well, I only visit this site, on average, once a week. I try to watch anime regularly, but it doesn't always work out that way, most of the time I watch on the weekends, and pay as much attention to a show as possible when I am testing DVD player at work. Not to be rude, but does this mean that I am not a big fan? I don't think so. I have poured (and continue to pour) too much money into this hobby to think of myself as a little interested. So my schedule (or sometime mismanagment of) doesn't allow me to watch anime on a regular basis, so what? I think about it a lot, I am (slowly) creating my own ideas for anime, I own quite a few OSTs, and, and, other stuff!!

I am ranting on, not because I am trying to pick a fight, but because judging on how into anime I am goes beyond just how many days a week I watch anime, or how many time I visit AA (I could be registered on 5 different sites for all you know, I'm not, but AA is not the be all and end all of anime websites.....). It just peeves me to try and determine 'how much of a fan' you are by quantity, a single factor in fandom.

My friends would probably say I am obsessive but they don't know many other anime fans to compare me with. I would say I am mildly obsessive. I belong to a few communities (either centered on anime or on a particular series) and I probably watch anime weekly depening on my work schedule. I mainly watch anime off cartoon Network because it takes forever to download and I am too poor to buy a new series without testing it out first. Every once and awhile I borrow a series off a friend (the few that I have that watch anime)that isn't on TV. And of course I watch the numerous DVDs I collected.

I would say that I visit This site and the forums more often then I actually watch anime. I come to AA at least once a day usually more because it only takes five mintues. As for watching anime I definately watch weekly but there are a few days out of the week I am either not in the mood for anime or do not have time. It also depends on the series I am watching at that time, I watch one series at a time so if it is a series I am more into I tend to watch anime more during that period. Over all though I would say that I do something anime related at least once a day.

I try to watch at least one to four episodes of anime a day - usually at night when the day's winding down, but I tend to have anime weekends or days where I sit down and watch one series from beginning to end - regardless of length. (Rurouni Kenshin was a looooong all-nighter, that it was!)

For the most part, I add to my 200+ volume collection of manga and read (or reread, as the cash flow may be), or download a few episodes of a few series' that have yet to come out on disk. I watch anime as much as I can. I usually watch about 12 Anime TV episodes per week, plus about 8 each weekend. If I've just bought a new series, then it will be considerably more. Love Hina complete should arrive by the end of this week. I've only seen six episodes so far, so I'll have plenty of watching to do. I've also got Escaflowne disc 3, Ranma 1/2 disc 1, and Rouroni Kenshin disc 9 on the way from Netflix. Oh, and I'm constantly re-watching FLCL. Can't get enough of that one!

A few years back, when I was still in high school, I was really into anime. I think a lot of it is because a friend of mine just invited me to watch evangelion, and after than I was almost addicted to it. My "addiction" has settled down a little now that I am in University, but I still watch a fair bit of anime, especially the currently running ones such as Naruto, FMA ect..

I think I'm really into anime... since I watch every day, I write about them, I draw anime (but I make up my own...), I listen to their OST (I even sing their songs even though I can't really understand it)... So I think I'm into it...

With me, anime is not an obsession, I just watch it sometimes because I like animation. If I have an episode or a movie to watch once a day, I'll do that. If there is a dry-spell for a couple of weeks, I guess I just do that too. In regards to this site, I come more for the community, rather than anime itself (you guys have grown like a rash on me over the past few years). I have a fairly substancial DVD collection, but the frequency in which I buy them has been falling a bit.

I used to be huge on anime-- the amount I downloaded or bought was, well, a lot. However, several months ago I sort of went into a slump and didn't watch much. I got back into the sheme of things and watched more, but lately again I've sort of been in that hiatus.

Right now I'm more of a casual viewer. Anime is just another medium of entertainment for me, so I'm focused less on seeing everything that I can or looks interesting and more interested in just watching the shows that I know I will probably enjoy, whether they've been recommended by friends, or the subject matter of the anime looks to be appealing.

Not that that always works, of course. F*ck Berserk, from its crappy first episodes to it's bloody retarded final episode and the stupid annoying characters that make up that crapfest.

Currently though, I'm not watching anything-- most of my viewing time right now is being taken up by various live action stuff.

It's a dying interest. Mushishi was the last anime I really cared about and the 'hits of the year' such as haruhi, ouran, noein were never that interesting or great like those animes that first introduced me to this once-obsession. I'm only following kemonozume and flag for now (although not that interesting) but still look around threads concerning other titles to see if there's something up my alley. Catching up on carefully considered past animes is far rewarding however, animes I'm downloading present are rose of versailles and requim of darkness.

And maybe I'll geek over the dvds too someday, would be nice to have my favourite animes in dvds. And buy posters and stick it against my wall. And buy figurines and put it on my shelf. And get my craft glue and blade and work on gundam models in the studio. And go to conventions cosplaying as some gay char.

Nah, I'll just enjoy hunting great animes and ranting about them.

I wish I could have the honor of being dubbed a geek, but I'll settle for being a slacker at the moment. I know my days of buying anime dvds and anime goods in large amounts will end soon...money's gotta go somewhere else (like school?).

But I definitely take great enthusiasm in checking out many anime that have been released in the past and today (mostly the former), and love to point out influential directors along with other staff. Of course, I watch live-action film too when I say this, but animation is something I've been interested in more, given how much can be done with animated sketches (or computer work). But I also like the way the Japanese make their films (animated or not) in general, you can definitely notice the cultural differences in a lot of their work.

Anime is my main hobby, but I'm far from being an otaku myself. I do admit that I spend a few hours at one go watching anime in a single day, but lately due to my military training, my interest is having its share of highs and lows.

One thing I do notice though - my hobby only kickstarted to high mode only around 5 to 6 six years ago, maybe because anime became mainstream to me only by then. Before then, I never took seriously and watched it simply as any other shows.

I suppose it should be said that I'm probably more into the merchandise than the actual anime. Show me a brand spanking new PVC figure or awesome looking poster and I'll show you my credit card. I now watch about 700% more anime than I did when I posted here regularly. That said, I was never more than a 'Once a Month' watcher, unles I got into a marathon with a friend when at there house. But other than that I'd watch rarely.

Now with alot of free time from work and a computer with good internet I am a casual watcher. I watch what i think I'll like, be it old or new, and am usually downloading something, but I'll not start watching as soon as its started ALTHOUGH when i start watching I'll want to finish it pretty quickly unles I get distracted, then I'll forget all about it.
