Buttobi CPU: 5.5 - It's pretty funny at times, but otherwise an empty fanservice-athon.

Hanaukyo Maid Tai: 7 - A light, quick, and fun ride, but nothing at all original.

Handsome Girl: 9.2 - Wow, I just picked this one up at random, and boy am I happy I did. For a thirty minute OVA, this captures so much drama and romance. There was a light spoiler at the begining I felt they could have left out, and one aspect about the ending could have been altered to create a much more devestating impact, but still an amazing piece of work.

Futari Ecchi - 2 (3 of 4) - Bleck. Ridiculous story, and even as someone who couldn't careless about drawn nudity, I can tell the fanservice sucks.

Now and Then, Here and There - 8. The profs were right when they said "intense". Even so, I was disappointed by the latter part of the series, and the mediocre music.

Millenium Actress - 8.5. A simple story told in many ways, and the ending was picture perfect.

Haibane Renmei (up to ep 10) - 9.4 and rising. The more I see, the more it reduces me into a drooling fanboy. Of all the animes I've seen, this one has really touched something deep inside. *sigh* I'll update when I see volume 4.

Cat Soup - um. Well, maybe a 3. A lot of grotesque symbolism, and a unique style of animation that doesn't work for me. It is way too abstract for me to like, but someone out there might like it. See this at your own risk.

Ya I knew some one would ask me that. Im not really sure why but i just dont like it all that much. It is interseting, and i normakky llike any anime i see, but sometimes ones that everyone else likes i just dont really. Thats all i can say.

Rurouni Kenshin(To the end of season 2)- 9.5. I really the show so far, the only thing I didn't like was the last 3 or so episodes of season 1.
Escaflowne-9. I really liked the show after episode 5, plus the music was great.
X TV- 8. Pretty much what the review says

Those are the only series I've seen enough of to really grade them.( I don't know if I feel like watching season 3 of Kenshin)

The series has its faults, but the scale of the story is quite impressive and there are some redeeming factors to offset the lousy pacing and unbalanced character development.

Shingetsutan Tsukihime: 8/10 it was really cool, not sure why but it really interested me...
Noir: 10/10 definitely on my list of fav. anime. Love the style, music, everything.
Hundred Stories: 8.5/10 It was really creepy O.O. scared me.
Narutaru: 7/10 THE most disturbing anime i have ever seen.
Hoshi No Koe: 12/10 amazing anime, blew me away. Taking the character animation aside....
Grave of the Fireflies: 100/10 Amazing anime, had me in tears.

Here's a list of semi-recent... Since I've been slacking on anime it won't be very recent. As for my ratings... I'm harsh but you might rate my favorites badly...


Naruto - 5.5... Yeah it was alright but a bit childish... -.-

Berserk - 9... I loved this anime, quite old though I just caught up on it.

Zoids - 1.11... I gave them credit for effort... I watched a couple of episodes so that doesn't mean I know all that much about it but it had zero potential in my eyes.

Hellsing - 10... Recent? God no... Recently re-watched... Yeppers. This is my all time favorite. It and Berserk that is...

That's all I feel like listing since those are the last four I've watched in some time. (Not counting Akira the movie... I've only watched that about three times since then... :) )

Oh and btw... Zoids is there because of boredom and boredom alone.

VHD-8.5-It was pretty cool,not the greatest though.

Miyuki Chan In Wonderland-8.5-It was pretty cool,kind of really short,but the art was nice. I watched it at my locla youth center and I think we were on the verge of breaking some rules with it. :P

In any case, no cold feet, not at all. I'm going according to a very well thought out, albeit intensely subjective, system. =)

I give 8-8.9 to anime that I thought were very good to excellent, but that failed to connect to me in such a way that it would make me want to see them a few more times beyond the second viewing.

If I was grading it from a more objective stand point, I'd give it a 9 and probably a bit more. However, I am not a reviewer nor have I any interest in being one, and hence, I feel no obligation to be objective in my ratings. =)

Hikaru No Go (thru #26) - 9.2. It also helps that I'm learning Go at the same time.

Someday's Dreamers (watched over a period of 3 months) - 6. Technically, not bad. But what a snore!

Hana Yori Dango (thru #8) - 8. I thought the Happy Days/Fantasy Island music was lame at first, but it's started to grow on me.

Barefoot Gen - 7.8. It's no GotF, but it can stand on its own merits. Some parts seem out of place, and the main character looks too much like Charlie Brown.

Boogiepop Phantom (thru #6) - 6.
Perfect Blue - 8.4.
Voices of a Distant Star - 9.
Animation Runner Kuromi - 7.

Daicon III/IV - ??? No story, low-budget animation, almost nothing of value... but I'm so glad I watched it!
