What rules make up the Code of Conduct?
There are certain rules that all students are expected to abide by if they wish to remain enrolled at the Anime Academy. Failure to do so will result in warnings and/or expulsion:

1) Do not promote or mention how and where to obtain licensed material illegally. This covers fan subs, mp3s, bootlegs and peer-to-peer programs.

2) Treat others with respect. You don't have to agree with another student's views, but you must respect that person's opinions. On that same note, flaming or using excessive harsh language will not be tolerated.

3) Keep off-topic or other assorted spam to a bare minimum. We are here to discuss anime, and no one wants to sift through pages of you talking about your cat Fluffy. This also includes double-posting.

4) Post in the forum most closely related to your topic of discussion. Since we do not have an area designated for introductions, this means no "Hi, I'm new" threads.

5) Do not provide or post links to vulgar or pornographic material. Every Anime Academy student has the responsibility to keep their campus clean.

What are the graduation requirements?
Graduation is commensurate with involvement in campus activities, the same as with any school. All incoming students enroll as Freshmen. Sophomore status comes after 100 posts, Junior at 250, Senior at 500 and then one becomes a Graduate Student at 1,000 posts.

Any student who completes graduation is allowed the freedom of a custom rank instead of "Graduate Student".

Who do I speak to about my account?
Any changes or problems with your student account must be brought to the attention of Mugs or Corpse. This includes requesting a custom avatar, title and help with displaying signatures. DO NOT ASK KAIN ABOUT ANYTHING CONCERNING THE LOUNGE.

On what grounds can a student be expelled from campus?
To be expelled, a student must garner three demerits. A demerit consists of breaking one of the rules above. The student will be warned of their violation and told if they received a demerit, which lasts sixty days following the infraction. The Campus Police will keep track of the demerits, and if a student forgets, he or she may send an inquiry to any campus deputy.

New Freshmen will be issued a warning before obtaining a strike. Spamming will warrant a warning, as well. On the opposite end of the spectrum, a Freshman who enrolls with less than good intentions can be banned immediately. Minor offenses like double-posting, reviving old threads, creating a duplicate topic and off-topic posting will not be punished unless repeated excessively. Other special cases may arise and will be documented here as they come up.

Are the Campus Police policed?
Yes. They must follow the rules all students are expected to abide by, and more.

How do I include a signature picture in my student profile? *** UPDATED 8/3/04 ***
To include a sig picture, just write the address of the image in your sig, with the tag.

[IMG ]http://url.ofyour.pic/pic.jpg[ /IMG]
*Note: There should be no spaces inside the IMG brackets.

Also note that neither Geocities, Angelfire, or Tripod allow image hosting. Please do not directly link images from Anime Academy; if you absolutely want to use the image, host it yourself.

All signature pictures are not to exceed 500x200 pixels in size. Any images exceeding this will be removed. You may only have one image in your signature and six lines of text. [i]Note: If you resize your text to be "size=1", you may have one or two more lines. Conversely, if the text is larger than the default, then reduce the number of lines accordingly. Your signature should not exceed 250KB in size or it will be removed. Animated signatures should not exceed 300KB in size or they will be removed.

Any offensive content in the signature will be deleted at the cost of having signature privileges removed.

What is the Private Message limit?
The limit of messages in all of your boxes is fifty. If you reach your limit, often times it is because the Sent Items folder is full. In the upper right of your Private Messages screen there is a drop-down menu for Jump to Folder. Select Sent Items to bring up all of your outgoing PMs, which you can delete.

The best way to make sure your PM box never gets full is to deselect the option to save the PM when you're composing a new message.

How do I receive a custom student photo (avatar)?
Any students interested in custom avatars should ask Mugs via Private Message. However, any students with under 600 posts are only entitled to one custom avatar change, so choose wisely. After 600 posts, the student can set his or her own avatar in the User Control Panel located in the Lounge.

All submitted custom avatars must be in either .jpg or .gif format with a maximum size of 115x115 pixels. Please no .png they are not accepeted by the forum and causes more work for me in converting them to something useable.

How do I receive a custom title before reaching graduation?
Some students who are active in extracurricular activities (such as the IRC channel) are rarely rewarded with a custom title before graduation. These titles are not requested and are usually at the mercy of a moderator's whims.
