What I look for in
anime: What separates anime from regular cartoons? The
cornerstones of storytelling: plot and character development.
Without those, you're merely watching a cartoon, moving pictures
that tend to entertain more than enthrall. The Japanese, however,
use anime to express themselves in a way that they're not
allowed to in everyday life and show us their innermost expressions
of culture and personality that appeal to us all.
